This painting is entitled Tea time painted by Jean Metzinger One of the painting of the modern
art movement, but before I introduce the art movement this painting came from. Let first describe the
painting.

HOW CAN YOU DESCRIBE THE PAINTING?

HOW ABOUT THE SUBJECT OF THE PAINITING?

That painting is under modern art movement which we called CUBISM.

Obviously it derived its name from the cube, at three dimensional geometric figure composed of strictly
measured lines, planes, and angle .

Cubism is about creating masterpiece using a cube wherein the cubist artist analyzed their subject basic
geometrical forms and broke them up into a series of planes.

The interest of Cubist artist in shape led them to create a masterpiece using cube. They also want a
stronger purer tones or color than hazy light of impressionism.

DADAISM

Mona Lisa is one of the well known masterpiece of Leonardo da Vinci wherein being used in Dadaism Art
movement. So Why?

Dadaism is anti art movement it comes from the DADA which means YES YES in Romanian and Rocking

that’s why the main purpose of Dadaism was to challenge the social norms of society, and purposefully
make art that would shock, confuse, or outrage people. (insultuhin)

We therefore characterized Dadaist art as Nonsensical that often show irrationality (not based on clear
thinking) humor (that why laughter is one of the first reaction to DADA art). and silliness aside form
that It is made from found object wherein Dada artists often incorporated found objects or images
from mass media into their art through collage and readymade. As you notice a while ago in the
painting of Leonardo Da Vinci, Marcel Duchamp put a moustache on Mona Lisa that will make

interested in things like dreams, fantasies and though in our mind that we don’t even know wer’e having

Influenced by Sigmund Freud wherein the surrealist artist inspired by Sigmund freud theories and
writings about unconscious mind .

Artwork in surrealism is based on the subconscious mind of the painters whether it is a dream or
imagination.

The subconscious is the part of your mind which operates without your awareness and over which you
do not have active control. The part of your mind that creates your dreams is an example of your
subconscious.

Artist get away from reality as much they could.

It is a combination of Abstractionism and Expressionism wherein they became more expressive
