I was born in Kentucky at February 12th 1809. 2. What job did you do before becoming president ? I did many jobs like a lawyer, a legislator and politician, of course. 3. Can you tell me what is the North’s main strategy ? Well, the first step was the « Anaconda Plan », a blockade would cut off and starve the South of supplies by sea, then take control of the great Mississippi river which would sever the South’s economic artery while splitting it into two and the final step was to take the Confederate Capitol Richmond ending the war. 4. Have you ever witnessed any battles ? Yes, I saw general Jubal Early’s attacks on Washington D.C.. 5. What will you do after the inevitable victory over the South ? I am looking forward to being a president in a time of peace and I want me and my wife to be happier since between the war and the loss of our son, we've both been very miserable. To start, we will attend a comedy with some friends, tomorow, on April 14th, at Ford’s theatre.
