Moral Assessment

● Moral theories are often defined in terms of the main focus for moral assessment
❖ Actions: right/wrong, obligatory, optional, neutral, superogatory (not obligatory, but going
beyond duty).
❖ Consequences: good, bad, indifferent.
❖ Character: virtuous, vicious, neutral.
❖ Motives: good, evil, neutral.
