Greetings

Good morning my dear Students! Good morning Ma'am, it's nice to see you!"

Classroom Management

Before sitting down, please check the alignment of

your chair if it is properly align. Put your bag on the left
side of your chair and keep all unnecessary things. (Students will follow the instruction.)
Please sit properly and all eyes are here.

Attendance

Is there any absent today? No one is absent, Ma'am.

B. Review

Okay class, let's recall your previous lesson.

What was your past lesson all about? Our pass lesson was all about the types of weather.

Okay very good !

Can you give me some types of weather that are The types of weather are rainy, sunny, windy,
commonly known? stormy, and cloudy.

Do we experience winter or snowy here in the No, Ma'am.

Philippines?

Alright, very good!

Yes, we do.
Do we experience windy and rainy seasons?

Yes Ma'am, we do experience.

How about sunny season?
So, last meeting we've been discussed and tackled
about the different types of weather.

Do you have any questions regarding about this topic?

None, Ma'am.

C. Motivational Activity

The Teacher will show the picture of the globe.

What can you say about this picture? It's a picture of a globe or an earth, Ma’am.

Yes, it is.

Let's have an activity entitled, "The fastest, the

luckiest"

Directions: Define the pictures.

I'll group
you into
two
groups, and then the group who luckily first find out
the answer or who define what is the photo will be
gaining points. The group who answers more will be
our winner and will be receiving a reward.

Is that clear, class?

The game will start.

We did it! Let's give your self a "Jood job clap". Yes ,Ma'am.

Based on our activity, what have you find out base on

the pictures you define with? Or, what is the first thing
that comes into your mind after you all saw all of the
pictures? (Students will demonstrate the clap.)
So, we are talking maybe about?

Yes, very good .

75% of the Earth's surface is filled with water. And 25%

of the Earth's surface is covered with land. Therefore,
water covers a wider area of the Earth's surface than (Students answer may vary.)
land.
Maybe we are talking about the water, Ma'am.
Do you think that the amount of water on earth
decreases since it's existence?

Who says no, and who says yes?

The amount of water does not change. It remains the

same. Why? Today, we will finding it out.

When do we use water? (The students answer may vary.)

Water has a very essential role in our life. We cannot
live without water.

Do you agree class?

shortage?

Very good!
Yes, Ma'am.
How? Yes, Ma'am.
Correct!
We need to use the water property and
Very well said. responsibly.

And now, let's go back to the question, where does

the water came from.

aren't you curious where does it came from?

Where did the clouds get the rain?

Was the cloud made it off?

(Answers may vary)
And that is what are we going to talk about, today.
(Any idea of students)

Yes Ma'am.

D. Lesson Proper I use water every in taking a bath, washing,

watering the plants, showering, laundering,

water. And our topic was named as the Water Cycle.

Objectives

At the end of the lesson, the student will be able to:

a. identify and explain 4 phases of water cycle;

b. to develop awareness on the proper consumption of

water; and

c. the stages of water cycle through hand gestures and

water cycle model.

Now, let's look for the answer of where does the water
came from.

(The Teacher will show the illustration of water cycle.)

This is the illustration of water cycle.

Water cycle is made up of 4 phases or stages. Such as,
Evaporation, Condensation, Precipitation,and
Collection.

Let's understand it first thoroughly.

Evaporation

Is a process when the sun heats up water in seas,

rivers, lakes, ocean, and even on pods. Then it turn into
water vapor on steam and rises up in the air or
atmosphere.

So, evaporation is from water into gas.

Condensation

Condensation is the process where water vapor

becomes liquid. It is the reverse of evaporation, where
liquid water becomes a vapor.Water which collects as
droplets on a cold surface when humid air is in contact
with it.

"the inside of the cab steamed up with condensation"

Precipitation

-Precipitation is water released from clouds in the form

of rain, freezing rain, sleet, snow, or hail. It is the
primary connection in the water cycle that provides for
the delivery of atmospheric water to the Earth. Most
precipitation falls as rain.

Collection

This is when water that falls from the clouds as rain,

snow, hail or sleet, collects in the oceans, rivers, lakes,
streams.

The water cycle is an extremely important process

because it enables the availability of water for all living
organisms and regulates weather patterns on our
planet. If water didn't naturally recycle itself, we would
run out of clean water, which is essential to life.

To let you understand fully the steps in water cycle, I

prepared a mnemonic strategy using hand gastures for
you to easily remember the different stages of the
water cycle.

Evaporation: Moving hands together up like the steam

rising.

Condensation: Moving hands together in the shape of

puffy cloud.

Precipitation: Moving hands downward like rain.

Collection: Firm a ring with your arms to form a lake.

E. Application

We will be having an group activity.

I will group you into two groups.

Rubrics:

Cooperation 10 pts.

Neatness 10 pts.

Voice 10 pts.

Presentation 20 pts.

Over all total: 50 points

Group 1: Make an illustration of water cycle

Group 2: sequencing of water cycle stages through

numbering and explain each stages.

Do you understand and get the point class?

Yes, Ma'am.
I will give you 10 minutes.

You will may start now.

(The Students will do the activity.)
Are you done class?
Yes, Ma'am.
(Let each of the group presents their each task
assigned.)
(Students will demonstrate the clap.)
Let's give them a precipitation clap or rain clap!
Did you enjoy your activity today? Yes Ma'am.

That's great! And I hope you learned a lot for today's

lesson.

So now, let's proceed.

F. Generalization

Do you understand our lesson? Yes Ma'am.

What have you learned today ? I learned that water cycle is the process of which
water transfer form place to another.

There are 4 phases of water cycle.

How many phases are there in a water cycle?

The four phases in the water cycle are the

What are those phases? Evaporatioon, Condensation, Precipitation and
Collection.

Who wants to explain each stages?

Evaporation

Is a process when the sun heats up water in seas,

rivers, lakes, ocean, and even on pods. Then it turn
into water vapor on steam and rises up in the air or
atmosphere.

Condensation

-Condensation is the process where water vapor

becomes liquid. It is the reverse of evaporation,
where liquid water becomes a vapor.Water which

air is in contact with it.

Precipitation

Precipitation is water released from clouds in the

form of rain, freezing rain, sleet, snow, or hail. It is
the primary connection in the water cycle that
provides for the delivery of atmospheric water to
the Earth. Most precipitation falls as rain.

Collection
This is when water that falls from the clouds as
rain, snow, hail or sleet, collects in the oceans,
rivers, lakes, streams.

Very good! Let's give your self a “Nice clap!” (Students will demonstrate the clap.)

G. Evaluation

Quiz:

1.Draw an example of the water cycle, making sure to

label the key parts: (precipitation, condensation,
evaporation and collection.)

2.How does the water cycle influence your life?

3.How have you seen the water cycle in action in your

life?

4.Why is the sun so important in the water cycle?

5.Which step of the water cycle is currently happening

outside? How can you tell?

6.What did you learn about the water cycle?

Assignment:

Make a collage of a water cycle illustrating it's four (The students will copy the assignment.)
phases.

Good bye, class!

Good bye, Ma’am.
