George Hits Over the Fence Home Run

3/29/23 Port Allegany @ OV

The Lady Green Waves started out the season with a win against Port Allegany, closing
the game up in 5 innings with a score of 16-6. 
 
Brooke George went 4-for-4 with an over the fence home run, two doubles, a walk, two
runs scored, and five RBIs. Shayden Mesler added a 3-for-5 day with two doubles, two
runs scored, and two RBIs, while Sophia Komenda was 3-for-4 with a run scored and
three RBIs, Catelyn Dailey went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI, and two runs scored. Eva
West cranked out a triple to help close on the win in the 5 th inning.  
Shayden got the win on the mound, going five innings, allowing four hits, six runs (five
earned), while striking out five. Layken Enty helped on the defense with a beautiful
double play at 1st base in the second inning.
