The first expected impact of the project is to, by introducing a green approach to career development,
set the stage for better and more sustainable practices. In the short term, the Project will enable youth,
youth workers, and youth organizations and others to work on increasing youth employability and
adaptability to the labor market needs for the future.
The second expected impact of the project on the participants on the project is to receive the basis for
further development of their career guidance systems. Needs for green CGC are different and green CGC
is an adaptive concept which can be changed to suit the tailor-made activities for each participant. In the
short term, youth, supported by their peers, youth workers and youth organizations, will understand the
impact of environmental changes to the world of work and career opportunities. It is expected that
youth, youth workers and youth organizations included in the transnational capacity-building program,
will acquire knowledge for better skill-matching of youth seeking career counseling.
The third expected impact is that the target groups and other relevant stakeholders are aware of the
possibilities of green CGC and of the availability (which is free of charge) of all produced materials during
the project. The desired impact of the project on the local level is to become aware of the possibilities of
green CGC and to adapt the concept to the specific needs on the labor market. The desired impact on
the national level is to introduce the concept of green CGC to the decision-makers and advocate for the
adoption of educational policies that include green practices in youth CGC on a nation-wide level. In the
long term, educational institutions, youth organizations and all other relevant stakeholders will benefit
from the exchange of knowledge and expertise on both national and the European level. Increased
awareness of benefits of Green CGC, related responsibilities and available incentives resulting from
tailor-made and needs-responsive attractiveness campaigns and guidance toolkits. Better quality and
understanding of green counseling services will lead to increased awareness of good European practice
and knowledge transfer. Increased ecological awareness of employers and their motivation to transform
their businesses into environmentally aware industries will make the most benefits towards ensuring
long-term impact on education and the environment.
