The guava fruits on the tree are tired of being overlooked due to their small size compared to other imported fruit trees in the garden. While they want better treatment, they do not qualify for it and are stuck on their guava tree for now. They resolve to make the most of their situation by soaking up sun and rain as they mature, looking forward to eventually falling from the tree when ready to leave its protection and no longer feel jealousy towards other trees.

Secluded by forged promises of an abundant harvest… we are tired!!!
Tired of over doing nothing Tired of being the smallest fruits around Tired of being disregarded by the shadiest, fruitful, yet imported trees We want better, better yet… We demand better We should get better But we can’t have better We don’t qualify for better So this guava tree is just perfect… for now It is not the best but at least we have a good view of the garden, right? Right! But I want to fall from it I rather hit the ground and hope of a starving by passer Than in the comfort of this biodegradable walls you call leaves But we are not ready yet So lets get as much sun as we can Shower ourselves on the predictable unexpected rains And enjoy the beautiful view as we mature Then my friends… Then we can jump off this tree And kiss the seemingly protective leaves goodbye No more jealousy for the bigger trees No more craving to be a different fruit No more holding on to the nothingness Be patient my friends, the time will come But until that day comes, We should enjoy our beloved guava tree
