    Dear Lougheed Middle School families:

    We’re writing to inform you of the anonymous online threat made on March 2, 2023. The
    potential threat indicated the use of a weapon against several schools in the area, on Friday,
    March 10, 2023.

    At this time, there has been no threat made against our school.

    Police are investigating the matter. School staff at the two PDSB schools mentioned, the school
    board’s School Support staff, and local police have been working collaboratively to ensure the
    safety of students and staff.

    We understand that this potential threat may be difficult for you and your child(ren) to process.
    Should you need it, we encourage you to access mental health professionals through our Be
    Well Support Line/form.

    The safety and well-being of our students and staff is our top priority. If you have any questions
    or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
