SUMMARY
I have been working in the field of education since I was 18. I started working in child care during high school and then throughout
my college career, while I achieved my degree in Early Childhood Education/Early Childhood Intervention. After fifteen years
teaching in the child care setting, I decided that I wanted to work with older school aged students in a public-school setting. Once I
started teaching small group instruction in reading, I quickly realized I want to be a classroom teacher. I finished my student-
teaching and graduated in December 2018. I have been enjoying teaching in my own classroom since August, 2019.

EXPERIENCE
Kindergarten Teacher
St. Peter’s School – Somerset, PA
As a Kindergarten teacher, my daily responsibilities include planning and implementing curriculum and
assessments in all content areas, creating my own classroom schedule, conducting parent/teacher
conferences, and attending meetings that included the I.U. teachers pertaining to my student’s
08/2020 to 8/2021 education, issued progress reports, and participated in Professional Development training. I also had to
quickly learn the Heggerty and SGAT programs to incorporate them into my lessons. Due to the
COVID-19 pandemic, I also had to teach virtually this school year to the whole class and sometimes
just specific students.
