Winston Churchill

Winston Churchill was a British politician who was twice the prime minister of the
United Kingdom from 1940 to 1945 and 1951 to 1955 respectively. He was a
worldwide regarded wartime leader; he was a military man because he was an officer in
the British army and sporadically he was also an artist.

Churchill was born on November 30th 1874, into an aristocratic family; The Dukes of
Marlborough, his father was a charismatic politician who worked as minister of finance,
his mother was an American socialite named Jennie Jerome.

As young serving in different wars, Churchill stood out as a correspondent and for
writing books about his campaigns. By the beginning of the World War I Churchill had
held many cabinets and political and military positions and continued like this during
and after the war. During the 1930s Churchill plays the most important roll in warning
about the Nazi Germany and in enforcing the rearmament. Churchill became prime
minister in 1940 and was one of the first in keep resistance against Adolf Hitler along
with the British Commonwealth and the Empire. His speeches and radio broadcasts
helped to inspire British people during those hard times and as a prime minister directed
the British people to the victory over the Nazi Germany.
