Based on the above announcement, the Director of Medical and Rural Health Services ‘has sent the proposal for fixing 19 new District Headquarters Hospitals for 6 newly formed Districts and 13 Districts where the existing District Headquarters Hospitals were upgraded as Medical College Hospitals. 3. The Director of Medical and Rural Health Services has stated that representations were received from general public, various Welfare Associations and elected representatives to establish Headquarters Hospitals in their district. 4.
