Verb Stations

Thank you for this purchase! I created this activity when I needed to review verbs with older students, but
did not want to give them another worksheet.

These stations are divided into three categories.

The first five stations are simple sentences with one verb.

The second five stations are simple sentences again, but each complete verb includes a main verb
and at least one helping verb.

The third five stations are compound or complex sentences. Each sentence contains more than one
verb. Some of the sentences will have helping verbs as well.

This arrangement provides for easy differentiation:

* set out one or two pages from each set and assign groups or individual students to those.

* use the first set with the entire class as a review, and then add the next to sets as students progress in
their understanding of verbs.

Teaching grammar can be difficult! I have created the Facebook group, Grammar Gurus,
as a place where teachers can brainstorm best practices concerning grammar.
We’d love to have you!
