Feeding America San Diego: We will be sorting and stocking the Feeding America San Diego warehouse to make sure our local San Diegans in need are fed. Help sort and package food for distribution to food banks throughout San Diego. Kids are welcome ages 6 and up. (TUESDAY, 6 and 13 SEPT 1800-2000) (35 VOLUNTEERS MAX) Crime Victims Oak Garden: The Oak Garden is a memorial to victims of violent crime in San Diego. Volunteer to help maintain memorials and other projects in the garden. FREE lunch and water will be provided. (SATURDAY, 10 SEPT 09001200) (25 VOLUNTEERS MAX) Operation Liberty Call: Join us at Dicks Last Resort in the Gaslamp! THIS IS NOT A VOLUNTEER EVENT; Operation Liberty Call is a FREE, fun night on the town to celebrate the men and women of the military! The first 500 participants who visit event headquarters at Dicks Last Resort, located in downtown San Diego in the historic Gaslamp district, the night of the event will receive an official Port of San Diego t-shirt. In addition, you can enter drawings to win some great prizes! Families, friends, and all military are welcome! (FRIDAY, 16 SEPT 1600-2100) (NO MAX PARTICIPANTS!)

San Diego River Park Foundation: Join the ASYMCA and the San Diego River Park Foundation at the beautiful Mission Valley Preserve South to help us remove Crime Vic- trash and debris from this sensitive habitat area. We will provide all the tools and tims Oak supplies, just wear clothes that can get a little dirty. Close-toe shoes are required. Garden Hat and sunscreen are highly recommended. (SATURDAY, 17 SEPT 0900-1200)

Operation Liberty Call

River Park Foundation Neighborhood Exchange: We have partnered up with the San Diego Food Bank! 9000-1200 Volunteers needed for organizing food for hundreds of military families for a free
food giveaway. Volunteers are also needed for set up, carrying food to cars and breakdown. (THURSDAY, 22 SEPT 0845-1230) (35 VOLUNTEERS MAX)

Homework Helpers: School is back in session! Tutor local students of all ages in a variety of subjects. Help children with their homework-volunteers are paired with 17 children based on subject interest and knowledge. (TUESDAY, 20 and 27 SEPT) (10 San Diego VOLUNTEERS MAX)

Lakeside River Conservancy 0800-1000

The Country Friends Art of Fashion 2011: 8 volunteers are needed for check in, greeting guests, and event assistance at The Country Friends Fashion Show on September 22. The ASYMCA is one of the beneficiaries of this fundraiser. The fashion show will be held at the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe. Volunteers must wear dress uniforms and must provide their own transportation to and from the event. Please email katie@asymcasd.org to sign up. Lunch will be provided and each volunteer will receive 4 Padres tickets! (THURSDAY, 22 SEPT 1200-1500) Lakeside River Conservancy: Join us at the Lakeside River Conservancy to help remove the graffiti that has taken away from the beautiful atmosphere of the area. We will be scrubbing the graffiti from some very large boulders around the Conservancy so please come prepared to work! (SATURDAY, 24 SEPT 0800-1000)
