About the Sector:
The MSME sector in Andhra Pradesh manufactures a variety of products with the majority
of the micro and small units actively engaged in sectors such as Agri & Food Processing,
Aqua processing, Automotive, Textiles, Minerals, Granite, Leather, Fabricated Materials,
Construction material, etc. The State government is handholding MSMEs training to
enhance skill sets, providing fiscal incentives, providing preferential market access,
enabling export ecosystem through initiatives like One District One product, etc.

Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society (APIS) has developed incubators spread over
51,213 sft. in the Innovation Valley, Visakhapatnam, 6500 sft. in Incubation Tower at
Kakinada, 2,300 sft. in Vijayawada and 6,300 sft. at Tirupati. APIS has also supported
the formation of 26 Incubators (7 by the Government & Academia, 2 by NGOs, and 17 by

Strengths of state
Andhra Pradesh is one of the
preferred tourism destinations in
India. Andhra Pradesh reported an
increase in domestic footfall from 93
million in the year 2014 to 237 million
in the year 2019.
The State’s popular Rushikonda

conferred with the coveted eco-label
‘Blue Flag’ by the Denmark-based

agreement with the Government of
