Abstract: The study has been carried out to research and assess the significance of the potential rainfall trend at Preah Sihanouk in
Cambodia. It is a small province with 868 square kilometers of surface. This study focuses on detecting trends in annual, seasonal, and
monthly rainfall in Preah Sihanouk Province. For this study, the widely used modified Mann-Kendall test was run at a 5% significance level
on the time series data for each year from 1992 to 2021. MAKESENS performs two types of statistical analyses. First, the Mann-Kendall test
is used to analyze time data for consistently increasing or decreasing trends (monotonic trends). The number of annual values in the studied
data series is denoted by n, and a positive value of Z indicates an upward trend and its negative value a downward trend. Second, the Sen’s
Slope method was used to predict the hydro-meteorological series magnitude. A positive value indicates an increase, and a negative value
indicates a decreasing trend of rainfall. Sen's estimator of the slope is the median of these N values of Qi. The N values of Qi are ranked from
the smallest to the largest. The figure shows the rate at which rainfall trended at Preah Sihanouk over a 30-year period from 1992 to 2021.
The figures are given as seasonal trends and annual trends in rainfall. The test results showed a decreasing rainfall trend in Preah Sihanouk
for the annual (Z = -0.68) -0.68mm/year at a magnitude of -11.700, the wet season (Z = -0.89) -0.89mm/year at a magnitude of -10.399, and
the dry season (Z = -0.43)decreased -0.43mm/year at a magnitude of -1.350 time series.
