Sta. Filomena Central School is considered to be the heart of the North II district in the
Division of Iligan City. It is an institution that caters learners from kinder to grade six that
gave quality education in the community. The school believes that to have good citizens is
to have a good education. Due to COVID-19, providing good and quality education is a
challenge since the school finds out that reading is the most affected aspect of learning
during the last two years of pandemic where schools are closed. Though learning still
continue through modular and online distance but still it is not enough since learning loss
is still very visible at the moment. Reading is considered to be the heart of all learning areas
but according to the school’s data there are 70% of the learners who are 2 grade level below
than their current grade level at present. In relation to this, the school is finding its way to
provide a full-fledge educational facilities for the welfare of the children. That is why the
school principal is already starting to build a reading hub and lunch counter for the
learners. This project aims to aid the major problem of reading in our school where parents
can stay in the reading hub and let their children read books during their lunch time.

In line with this, we would like to ask from your good company to provide us 50 bags of
cement in order for us to build our reading hub and lunch counter. If this request is
granted, you were not only helping the school but the whole community as well. Your
support to this project is highly appreciated.
