    Dear Hiring Manager,

    I was eager to contact you after learning that Tucson Medical Center has an available position for a
    Registered Nurse in the Main OR. TMC previously employed me as an Operating Room Assistant and a
    Patient Care Technician. During this time, I grew to strongly appreciate the tight knit teamwork
    atmosphere when providing patient centered care.

    With my clinical and work experience, I have become familiar with how a client’s case may become a
    high stress environment. In the past I have responded to a few code blue situations and assisted by
    performing compressions, suctioning, obtaining the crash cart, and procuring supplies as needed.
    Remaining calm and thinking clearly are my priorities to help ensure the surgical team is performing its
    best. With every patient, I am cognizant with their vital signs. If I noticed any abnormalities, I notify the
    appropriate professional and apply the treatment protocol. My experience as an Operating Room
    Assistant is better suited for this job in comparison to those who have yet have this experience since I
    am well acquainted with how the team functions within the operating room.

    Most recently, I was a patient care technician in the float pool department. I learned various skills from
    multiple departments and had the opportunity to work alongside diverse units. My adaptability and
    teamwork allowed me to provide compassionate care to the Tucson community. I had the opportunity
    to allocate transportation means for a client who had gotten in a car accident and had no one to pick
    them up. As stated in TMC’s mission, this is an example of providing compassionate care. I am confident
    I can translate these skills to the RN - Main OR role.

    I would love the opportunity to chat about the Main OR’s needs and how I am the best person for this
    job. I am certain my willingness to learn, versatility, and nursing knowledge can make me a top
