Installing The LightBurn Macro For CorelDraw
Installing The LightBurn Macro For CorelDraw
After installing LightBurn, open up a Windows Explorer (just browse on your computer or hard
drive).
Find the LightBurn install folder in C:\Program Files\LightBurn, and locate the
ExportToLightBurn.gms file - this is the Corel macro we'll be installing, but you need to copy it into
your user macro folder for Corel to find it. The correct location will depend on the Corel version
you have.
Inside that folder should be another called 'CorelDRAW Graphics Suite xxx' where xxx is your
CorelDraw version. Double click that folder, and within it should be another, called Draw, and
inside that should be one called GMS. That's where we're going to paste the LightBurn export
script, like this:
Windows might ask you for permission to copy to this folder - say yes.
Now, run your version of CorelDraw. Once it's running, open the Macro Manager, like this:
In the Macro Manager window, under the Visual Basic for Applications entry, right-click, then
select Load Macro Project:
Browse to the same GMS folder as before, in C:\Program Files\Corel\CorelDraw Graphics Suite
xxx\Draw\GMS, and select the ExportToLightBurn.gms macro project:
Expand the entry for Customization by clicking the small triangle highlighed here:
In the Commands pane to the right, click the drop-down box where you see "File", here:
Grab the LightBurn command macro and drag it onto your toolbar, like this:
That's it! The button on your toolbar will launch LightBurn with your current selection, or the
whole file if you have no selection. You can close the Macro Manager window now.
