Design and Fabrication of Radio Controlled N-Chia Drone For Surveillance1
Design and Fabrication of Radio Controlled N-Chia Drone For Surveillance1
for Surveillance
By
➢ A Radio-controlled aircraft (model) is controlled remotely by a hand-held transmitter & receiver with the
aircraft.
➢ The receiver controls the corresponding servos that moves the control surfaces based on the position of
joystick on the transmitter, which in turn affect the orientation of the plane.
➢ A RC aircraft has all the dynamic characteristics which are present in actual aircraft.
➢ RC Aircrafts can be used to carry some mass of small value or also use by defence authority by applying a
spy camera on it.
➢ RC aircraft are also used by research and development department in order to check the feasibility of any
design.
➢ RC Bird Drone surveillance is the use to capture of still images and video to gather information
about specific targets, which might be individuals, groups, or environments.
➢ Planes fly by virtue of Bernoulli's principle on their wings. Air being pushed under the
wings only accounts for a small portion of the lift forces that make an airplane fly. The
real lift forces results from the partial vacuum created above the wings (Bernouil's
principle). In effect, a plane rises on account that it wings are being "sucked up from
above.
➢ To get the Bernoulli effect (and to lift the plane), the wings must expose a larger surface
on top than below the wing. A curved wing does just that.
➢ Essentially there are four aerodynamic forces that act on an airplane in flight; these are
lift, drag, thrust & weight. In simple words,
➢ 1. Drag- it is the resistance of air molecules hitting the airplanes ( the backward force).
➢ 2. Thrust- it is the power of airplane's engine( the forward forces).
➢ 3.Lift is the upward forces & weight is the downward forces. Thrust is generated by the
airplane's engine( propeller or jet), weight is created by the natural force on gravity upon
the airplane & drag comes from friction as the plane moves through air molecules. Drag
is also a reaction to the lift, & this lift must be generated by airplane in flight. This is done
by the wings of the airplane.

➢ BLDC Motor, Propellor, Servo Motor
➢ Battery, Remote Controller, Camera
➢ Pen, Pencil, Scissor
➢ Rubber band
➢ An attempt has been made to systematically design, analyze, build, and fly a prototype RC Bird
plane. The team gained an understanding of the fundamentals of aircraft design, engineering,
constructing, and testing through this project.
➢ The team also could learn aircraft technology fundamentals and use design and analysis tools. The
initiative gave a multidisciplinary team the chance to collaborate and comprehend the interactions.
The majority of the Designing and Electronic aspects are covered in the papers, which could be
quite helpful for beginners.
