Shashank Shekhar Singh conducted an experiment using Cisco Packet Tracer to demonstrate point-to-point communication and local area network (LAN) construction. The experiment involved connecting two devices via a serial cable to establish point-to-point communication, and connecting multiple devices and switches with Ethernet cables to build a LAN. Connectivity was tested using ping commands and successful pings validated the establishment of point-to-point communication and the constructed LAN.

2. Click on the "Add a Simple PDU" button on the bottom left corner of the screen. 3. Drag and drop two devices, such as routers or switches, from the "Devices" panel on the left onto the workspace. 4. Connect the two devices using a serial cable by clicking on the serial cable option in the "Connections" panel and dragging it from the serial interface of one device to the other. 5. Change the IP address of both devices with same class number 6. Save the topology and start the simulation by clicking on the "Start/Stop Simulation" button. 7. Test the connectivity between the two devices by pinging the IP address of the other device .
B. Construction of LAN
1. Open Cisco Packet Tracer.
2. Click on the "Add a Simple PDU" button on the bottom left corner of the screen. 3. Drag and drop a switch from the "Devices" panel on the left onto the workspace. 4. Repeat step 3 to add additional switches if necessary. 5. Connect the switches together using Ethernet cables by clicking on the Ethernet cable option in the "Connections" panel and dragging it from one switch to another. 6. Drag and drop devices, such as computers or servers, from the "Devices" panel onto the workspace. 7. Connect the devices to the switches using Ethernet cables by clicking on the Ethernet cable option in the "Connections" panel and dragging it from the device to the appropriate switch port. 8. Save the topology and start the simulation by clicking on the "Start/Stop Simulation" button. 9. Test the connectivity between the devices by pinging the IP address of other devices Result: 1. If the ping is successful, you have established a point-to-point communication between the two devices in Cisco Packet Tracer. 2. If the ping is successful, you have constructed a LAN in Cisco Packet Tracer.
