participated in. Pick one kind of tree which you think best symbolizes your experience and
explain.

Last Sunday, the Gospel was about a woman who committed adultery and was brought to
Jesus. The ones who brought the woman to Jesus wanted to give a punishment to the woman
for the terrible deed she did. However, Jesus told everyone who was there that they should
throw a stone at the woman if they thought they had never committed any sins. The response
of the people who were there was to go away one by one, and so, He was left alone with the
woman. Then Jesus suddenly said to the woman that she should repent and never commit
adultery again. Jesus forgave the woman once again and gave her another chance. The
forgiveness that Jesus gave to the woman reminds me of the parable I had read when I was in
high school. The parable's story is all about a fig tree and a gardener who did not give up on
watering it. When I read this parable, this statement caught my eyes. "Please be patient with
me; God isn't finished with me yet." With this statement, I have realized that maybe the fig
tree is just like us. We also deserve patience, forgiveness, and chances because God isn't
finished with us. Therefore, I can say that the sermon and the fig tree story teach us to be
more like Jesus and the gardener, generous, loving, and forgiving.
