Sentence to be bullied.
Cyber bullying has become more common with advances in technology. Messages can be posted on
social networking websites, and pictures can be downloaded, altered, and made available to the
world in seconds. Although there has been abundant research into the consequences of cyber
bullying and physical bullying, little has been done to determine which type may cause more
psychological damage. It is well established that bullying itself intimidating, and ridiculing another
through verbal or physical acts. The long-term impact of cyber bullying is greater than with
traditional bullying. Digital images, cell phones, and other electronic means can greatly increase the
speed in which the bully's messages can spread. Harmful messages intended to undermine the
reputation of a victim can be far more damaging than face-to-face altercations.

As a victim of bullying, you can take measures to protect yourself from being bullied. First, you need
to understand your strengths and concentrate on them rather than weaknesses that a bully
highlight. With this knowledge, you will be able to implement the other anti-bullying tactic of
walking away from the bully. This way, you will deny the bully an opportunity to have control over
your emotions as would be the case if you get angry. You could even make this more interesting by
adding humour to the situation or just smiling at it. In the even whereby you cannot walk away, keep
yourself safe as you get bullied. In addition, you should know that it is never right to get bullied.
Therefore, report it whenever it happens. These steps and many others need to be done repeatedly.
This way, the bully will leave you alone at some point.

Another way of stopping bullying is through campaigns and seminars regarding the effects of
bullying. The audience should be bullies themselves and it should discuss the many negative results
of this horrid act on victims. Statistics show that most bullies are not aware of these outcomes.
Bullying is continued because teens who take part in this horrid act experience pleasure in the
feeling of superiority. Once bullies realize the outcomes of the action, hopefully cases lessen. To
completely eradicate bullying, it should be a law that is strongly implemented in schools like in the
Philippines. Implementing this as a law and giving punishments or sanctions to the violators who
continue to perform this act will eventually lead other bullies to stop and learn from the ones that
are facing sanctions for inappropriate actions.

The other way is to deal with the bullies is to punish them. This could be the only thing that works
for incredibly nasty people because they will only care when it begins to affect them. Bullying often
isn’t taken seriously enough like for example, if you punched a person in the middle of the street you
would probably be arrested, but if it happens in a case of bullying, the perpetrator might get a
detention. It is important not to allow things to happen in school that they would never get away
with out in the real world, and children and young people who don’t have boundaries and sanctions
imposed as they grow up may not obey the law as adults.

All in all, there is not any single solution for bullying, but it’s not good enough to ignore it just
because it’s hard to deal with. By using a combination of these three tactics, teachers should be able
to stop bullying at school long before it gets out of hand. So basically, it is on us as the eldest to take
responsibility on the youngest who get used to be bullied.
