preparation.
Before Mobilization and Design Stage starts the BEP content shall require the followings:
1.) Introduction: This section provides an overview of the project and the purpose of the BEP.
It should also include a list of definitions and acronyms used throughout the document.
2.) Project Information: This section includes information about the project, such as the scope,
schedule, budget, and other critical information.
3.) BIM Goals and Objectives: This section outlines the goals and objectives of using BIM on
the project.
4.) BIM Scope and Level of Development (LOD): This section defines the BIM scope and LOD
requirements for the project. It should also include a matrix that details the required LOD for
each BIM element.
5.) BIM Roles and Responsibilities: This section describes the roles and responsibilities of the
project team members related to BIM. It should also include a BIM organization chart.
6.) BIM Execution Plan: This section outlines the BIM execution plan for the project, including
the workflows, processes, and procedures for BIM implementation.
7.) BIM Standards: This section defines the BIM standards and protocols that will be used on
the project.
8.) BIM Deliverables: This section lists the BIM deliverables required for the project, along with
their expected format and delivery date.
The BIM Manager shall have the overall responsibility for preparing and managing the BEP.
However, the BIM Coordinator may assist with the drafting and preparation of the BEP. The
project team, including the appointing and appointed party, should review and approve the
BEP before implementation. Once approved, the BEP will serve as a guide for the project
team to follow throughout the building cycle.
