A. CONTEST TITLE: Nutri-Flex: Healthy Cooking Contest

D. PROJECT RATIONALE:

The Nutrition Month celebration is one of the most anticipated activities every year and this is the
perfect time to concentrate on planning healthy meals again. This year the TLE area initiated the
Nutri-Flex: Healthy Cooking Contest. This project serves as an avenue for health buff Augustinians
to share their healthful recipes that can help maintain a strong immune system to fight against
diseases.

This project would support the campaign of National Nutrition Council and the Department of
Health in promoting the Nutrition Month theme 2022, “New normal na nutrisyon, sama-samang
gawan ng solusyon!”

E. PROJECT OBJECTIVES:

● Promote a healthy lifestyle by cooking nutritious food.


● Increase health awareness by reminding the Augustinian community of the advocacy.
● Inspire creativity and share knowledge with others.

F. PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This contest is a project of the Technology and Livelihood Education area. It is open for all the junior
high school faculty.

Each participant should bring their own ingredients and the food that they will cook must promote
healthy eating.

G. PROJECT GUIDELINES:

● Each subject area should have one representative.


● The TLE area will not release a budget. Ingredients will be provided by the participants.
● Participants will be given 1 hour and 20 minutes to finish cooking, plating, and cleaning up their
kitchen station. They are allowed to pre-cook meat in advance.
● Participants should bring their own apron and hair net/cover.
● Basic materials and equipment will be provided but additional equipment they need to provide on
their own.
● The activity will have the following criteria:

Taste 30%

Nutritional Value 30%

Plating and Presentation 20%

Cleanliness and Sanitation 20%

TOTAL 100 %
● Three contestants will be proclaimed as winners: Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up. Also,
there will be three winners with special awards: Most Nutritious, Best in Plating and Presentation,
and Rising Star Chef Award.
● The judges’ decision is final.
● Winners will be announced during the culminating day.
