Who can give a recap on our topic
yesterday?

What is pronoun?
A. Activity The teacher will play a 3-minute video
(5 Minutes) presentation of songs containing reflexive
pronouns.
The teacher will ask about all the pronouns that
they have seen from the video.
B. Analysis  The teacher will ask:
(5 Minutes) (a) What do you see when you look at
the mirror?
(b) List as many words as you can that
contain the suffix “self” or “selves”.

 *After answering, the teacher must


ask the class if they have any idea on
what classification of pronoun the
examples
belong.

C. Abstration The teacher presents and discusses the lesson.
 Reflexive pronouns- reflects back on
(15 Minutes) the subject of the sentence.
Ex. Drew decided to treat himself to a
fancy dinner.
 Intensive pronoun- adds emphasis on
intensity to a noun.
Ex. Jonathan built the shed in
the backyard all by himself.
D. Application “KNOW ME”
 The students will have their pairs.
(10 Minutes) They need to have their definition of
each other using the reflexive and
intensive pronouns.
 The pairs will be given 2-3 minutes to
present their output.
 Five random pairs will be called to
present their outputs.
V. Evaluation “BLOG TIME”
The students are tasked to make a persuasive
(22 Minutes) blog on anything related in fighting Covid-19
pandemic. They must at least use 5 reflexive
pronouns and 5 intensive pronouns.

Rubric
Content = 50 points
Creativity = 25 points
Over-all impact = 25 points
Total = 100 points

worksheets.
