Adopt A Ecosystem Topic Selection

The specific ecosystem that will be analyzed in this paper is located in British Colombia, Canada.
The focus within this province will be in the South Coast Region, and will specifically be the
Chilliwack Natural District (DCK). A diverse and beautiful region, it is a fairly rural area nestled
within the Fraser Valley and surrounded by a bowl of mountains. The diverse topography allows
for many opportunities to hike and camp both in the Valley and on the mountains, and as such,
the ecosystem is filled with thousands of different animal, insect, and vegetative species. This
region specifically has a beautiful collection of Western Red Cedar, Western Hemlock, Sitka
Spruce, and Douglas Fir trees, all conifer species and as such, the region is classified as having a
temperate coniferous forest ecoregion.
