Gambling and its connection with mental health has always been a popular topic of
discussion. Therefore, I chose this peer-reviewed article by Bristow, Afifi, Salmon, and Katz
(2022). Through this article the researchers set out to find about the risky gambling
behaviours, their links with mental health, and adverse childhood experiences. The
They were trying to understand how different adverse childhood experiences (ACEs)
gambling using an adaptive version of Canadian Problem Gambling Index (CPGI) with a ten-
question survey which is a qualitative method, as well as utilized secondary data from the
larger Well-Being and Experiences (WE) Study which is a quantitative data collection survey.
The research pointed out that except for household mental illness, for the other household
