& Section 6 Deterring Plagiarism and Cheating).’

CASE STUDY ANALYSIS (100 MARKS)

Read the given supplementary case material.


Answer ALL the questions.
Please ensure all referencing and citations used in the answer submission are
following APA format referencing. Otherwise, it is plagiarism and you will
obtain a 0 mark.

1. Discuss the role of the World Bank in advancing the knowledge economy, and how
the institution leverages on KM initiative to speed up economic recovery.
(17 MARKS)

2. Apply SECI Model to scrutinize the efforts of Mr. Steve Denning and Mr.
Wolfensohn that led to several KM initiatives starting in 1999 and onwards at the
World Bank.

3. Based on the case study, can the World Bank be classified as a learning organization?
Why or why not? Justify your answer.

4. Apply a Knowledge Strategy


Framework proposed by Zack
(1999) and analyze KM strategies
at the World Bank to ensure the
implementation of KM will not fail
like before.

5. Identify the knowledge levers relevant to this institution, and propose knowledge
management strategies that should be considered by the management and members
of this institution, to ensure a successful implementation of knowledge management
system. Justify your decisions.
