Physical Activity= Those are the activities you can perform to improve your physical fitness and health. It
should be regularly done, woven into the daily routine of everyone for better health, fitness and
wellness.

Physical fitness= the ability of the individual to carry out daily task with vigor and alertness without undo
fatigue.

The term physical fitness should not be confused with “exercise” which is a subcategory
of physical activity that is planned, structured, repetitive and aims to improve or maintain one or more
component of physical fitness.

Body Composition

Flexibility

Muscular strength/Endurance

Skill Related Component

Power Coordination

Agility Balance

Speed Reaction Time

Moderate physical activity= refers to the activities equivalent in intensity to brisk walking or bicycling.

Vigorous physical Activity= Produces large increases in breathing or heart rate such as jogging, aerobic
dance

AEROBIC EXERCISES= Jogging, swimming, and even dancing.

SPECIFIC POINT WHERE THE HEARTBEAT CAN BE FELT

Carotid pulse sign= Beside the larynx

Apical pulse sign=over the left side of the chest

Radial pulse sign= Radial artery at the wrist


Temporal Pulse sign= Temporal

MUSCLE STRENGHT= Improve the abilities of the muscle to exert force during an activity such as lifting
weight

MUSCLE STRENGTHENING EXERCISES= involve using your muscle to work against a resistance such as
body weight elastic band and weight.

When muscles do more work, it becomes stronger. Therefore, having strong and healthy muscles enable
us to perform everyday physical tasks.

On the other Hand;

MUSCULAR ENDURANCE refers to how many times you can lift or perform a certain amount of weight
or activity.

BONE STRENGHTENING ACTIVITY

Any weight bearing activity that produces a force in the bone is also important for overall health
of adult and children.

Such bone strengthening activities can increase bone density throughout our skeletal
system. This is called bone hypertrophy.
It is important to understand that bone-strengthening exercises do not only focus on bone health,
it also focuses on improving muscle strength, coordination, and balance.
