I. Evaluation Make a Model of the Night sky
Materials: black umbrella (if a black umbrella is not available, you can
cover it with black paper or cloth) chalk or white ink, any coloring materials
will do beads or small stones for dotting glue or paste
Procedure:
1. Observe the night sky for one whole week.
2. Look for different star patterns in the sky.
3. Plot the patterns on a black umbrella using a
piece of chalk.
4. Name each pattern, what constellation is it?
5. The umbrella will look like that in the picture below.
Note: You can search on the Internet, books or other sources for the
constellation map and in naming each constellation.
Reminder: In this activity your output will be rated by your teacher
according to the given criteria.
