1. Interpret the meaning of Himno ng Pamantasang Mindanao in 3 sentences. (5 points)

- The Himno ng Pamantasang Mindanao acts as a reminder to all MSU students of why
they are there in the first place. It strongly reflects the school's ideals and aspirations,
instilling a sense of belonging, comradeship, pride, respect, honor, and commitment
to the institution. The University hymn develops a link between the school and its
students by communicating the institution's ideals and the students' expectations.

2. By virtue of your residency in MSU-GenSan as a student (for months or years), what

does being an MSUan mean? Any reflections of being a part of this academic and
socially-inclusive community? Explain in 5 sentences. (10 points)
- Survival of the fittest, enthusiasm, hope, and preparedness are all words that come to
my mind when studying at Mindanao State University. For almost three years of
studying in this institution, I have shown that well-known fact from both students and
alumni that everyone on campus should live as if he or she is fighting for every
difficulty of student life. Most, if not all, would opt to be practical, that is, to distance
himself/herself from life's "luxuries" while prioritizing the responsibilities of being a
student in the university. Furthermore, being a student at MSU will give you the
opportunity to interact with people of different cultural backgrounds. You will indeed
become a student of other cultures, thus becoming sensitive to their ethnicity, where
respect will become your "food" for everyday life, and you will learn that other
people with different perspectives, values, and cultures are also important and have an
equal share of human rights benefits.
