Assignment

I would like to submit one month assignment that I have experienced at North
Dagon and Haling Batch.
(Levels 1 & 2) Classes
Classroom management includes rules and disciplines that are when the teacher
is teaching students are listening to the teacher. If they do not pay attention, the
teacher said “Eye on Me” and students reply “Eye on you”. Teachers are active,
enthusiastic, and motivated when she is teaching young learners. Students
respect teachers and trust each other. There is a positive learning environment
between teachers and students. The teacher asks concept-checking questions
instead of asking Do you understand? And also, there is a formative assessment.

(Levels 3 & 4) classes

In that class, classroom management is a bit strict. The teacher can plan the
seating arrangement week by week. The teacher uses students centered
approach. The teacher can give clear instructions. She knows what she is going to
teach to students. And also, students have to do presentations as well as projects.
After some units are finished, students must take the test (formative assessment)
(Levels 5&6) classes
The teacher starts the class with a guessing game. And then she elicits the target
lesson from students. She teaches lessons in a fun way. When students can
answer the questions, she gives “Star” to students.
(Level 5
This class focuses on the student’s centered approach. There is a formative
assessment and speaking test. Students do project group by group.
Level 7 & FCE
This class focuses on the student’s centered approach. There is a formative
assessment and speaking test. Students do project group work.
Reflect by myself
In my opinion, I have read and submitted teaching books (Am I teaching well?
Qualities of effective teachers, and What teacher really need to know formative
assessment) before the one-month observation. And also, assignments on how to
teach power-up and global stage. After that, I read Technique and Principles and
sat for the test. Therefore, I have read four books within three months and I came
to know I can read.
As an observation for one month, I read Technique and Principles a second time
and took the test a second time too. That time I took exam detail.

Reflect GETC
I believe GETC trains teachers a lot be to qualified. Moreover, they are looking
forward to working -with partners who love a passion for teaching.
