Counting The Omer
The Purpose
“Then you are to count from the morrow after the Shabbat (Passover), from
the day that you brought the omer of the wave offering, seven complete Shab-
batot. Until the morrow after the seventh Shabbat you are to count fifty days,
and then present a new grain offering to ADONAI.” --Leviticus 23:15-16
An omer is a unit of measure. On the second day of Passover, in the days of the
Temple, an omer of barley was cut down and brought to the Temple as an offer-
ing.

Counting the Omer is part of participating in God’s moadim (appointed times).

Every day we count, be reminded of the link between Pesach (Passover), which
commemorates the Exodus and deliverance, and Shavuot (Feast of Weeks - Pente-
cost), which commemorates the giving of the Torah (First 5 Books of the Bible)
and God’s Ruach (Spirit). It reminds us that redemption from slavery is not com-
plete until we receive the Torah - God’s Word. It also reminds us that without
God’s Spirit, we don’t have the ability to correctly understand His Word, nor the
strength to keep it.

Our purpose in counting the omer is to help us draw closer to God each day, as
we pray and meditate on each daily devotional. We should expect that our faith
level will be raised each day in anticipation of what God will do in our lives, and
thru us, and in the lives of those around us!
Each day, read the prayers on page 2 thru 7. Then read and meditate on the
devotional for the day. This year, the subject for our devotional is REVIVAL—
what is it, what are it’s characteristics, and what you can expect from God as He
transforms your life.
Share this 50-day devotional with the people you know and care about. Call our
office at 813 831-5673 for more copies or download it at: shoreshdavid.org.

According to the Jewish lunar calendar, each day begins in the evening, at sun-
down. Counting the omer can begin on the Thursday evening, April 6th, or dur-
ing the day time of Friday, April 7th. This booklet will use Friday as the starting
day, but know that if you prefer to begin in the evening, Thursday, April 6th,
that would be correct too.

Each daily entry is short, so don’t just read it - meditate on it and discuss it with
others, especially your family! I pray that this “Counting the Omer” Devotional
will be a blessing to you, and those you love!
Love in Messiah,
Rabbi Steve

REVIVAL PRAYER
(Pronouns changed to make your prayers personal)

Lord, help me passionately seek after You in these 50 days of Counting

the Omer. I am asking for Your powerful anointing to fall on me, my
family, and my congregation. Increase my hunger for You. As the deer
pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for You, O God. (Psalm 42:2)

May my prayer life be strong, fortifying and securing my relationship

with You. Help me to pray intentionally each day with intensity and
focus. I’m longing to be a prayer warrior, one who intercedes for my
family, friends, congregation, city, state, country, Israel, etc. May I meet
with you each morning, order my prayers to You, and watch expectantly.
(Psalm 5:4) I will not be anxious about anything—but in everything, by
prayer and petition with thanksgiving, I will let my requests be made
known to You. (Philippians 4:6)

May Your Word be lodged in my mind and heart. I pray that I will
understand Your Word with more clarity, and be excited about applying
it daily to my life! Give me the strength to be obedient to Your Word.
You have commanded that Your precepts be kept diligently. Oh that my
ways were steadfast to observe Your decrees! (Psalm 119:4-5)

I want everything I do to be done in love. (1 Corinthians 16:14) Help me

to be kind and compassionate to everyone. Motivate me to forgive every-
one, just as the Lord has also forgiven me. (Ephesians 4:32) Stop me from
selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility help me consider others to be
more important than myself. (Philippians 2:3)

My desire is to love ADONAI my God with all my heart, soul and strength.
Let these words be on my heart and help me teach them diligently to all
children, and speak of them in all situations. (Deuteronomy 6:5 & 7) Let
my excitement about my love for You be undeniable and infectious.

May everything I do, and everything I say, bring You glory! Pour out
Your Spirit on me so that I may strongly exhibit the fruit of Your Spirit
and also manifest the gifts of Your Spirit. Help me to be consistent and
faithful. This is my heart! I love You and want to be recognized as Your
disciple. I pray all of this in the powerful name of Yeshua my Lord and
Messiah.
2
Daily Prayer For One Hour

Will you commit to the Lord to pray one hour each day?
Will you believe that this is the beginning of your personal revival?

Matthew 26:38-45 Then He tells them, “My soul is deeply grieved, even to
the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with Me.” Going a little
farther, He fell face down and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is
possible, let this cup pass from Me! Yet not as I will, but as You will.”
Then He comes to the disciples and finds them sleeping; and He tells
Peter, “So couldn’t you keep watch with Me for one hour? Keep watching
and praying, so that you won’t enter into temptation. The spirit is
willing, but the flesh is weak.”

What Should I Do In My Hour of Prayer?

Praise
Singing, Poetry, Dance, Scripture, Worship, Art, etc.
Praise God for all He has done, for what He is doing and what He will do

Repent
For known sin (speak each one aloud)

Pray From The Psalms
(Pronouns changed to make your prayers personal)

Psalm 90:1-2 My Lord, You have been our dwelling from generation to
generation. Before the mountains were born, or You gave birth to the
earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God!

Psalm 90:12,14,17 So teach me to number my days, so that I may get a

heart of wisdom. Satisfy me in the morning with Your love, so I may
sing for joy and be glad all my days. Let the favor of the Lord my God
be upon me. Establish the work of my hands for me—yes, establish the
work of my hands.

Psalm 91:1-7,9-11 You who dwell in the shelter of Elyon, will abide in
the shadow of Shaddai. I will say of ADONAI, “You are my refuge and
my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. For You will rescue me from
the hunter’s trap and from the deadly pestilence. You will cover me
with Your feathers, and under Your wings I will find refuge. Your
faithfulness is body armor and shield. I will not fear the terror by
night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the plague that stalks in
darkness, nor the scourge that lays waste at noon. A thousand may fall
at my side, and ten thousand at my right hand, but it will not come
near me. For I have made Elyon my dwelling, even ADONAI, who is my
refuge, so no evil will befall me nor any plague come near my tent. For
You will give Your angels charge over me, to guard me in all my ways.

Psalm 92:2-6 It is good to praise ADONAI and to make music to Your

Name, Elyon, to declare Your love in the morning and Your faithful-
ness at night, with a ten-string harp, with resounding music on the
lyre. For You made me glad, ADONAI, by Your deeds. I sing for joy at
the works of Your hands. How great are Your works, ADONAI! How
profound are Your thoughts!

Psalm 93:1-2 ADONAI reigns—You are robed in majesty! ADONAI has

robed and armed Yourself with strength. Yes, the world is firmly
established—unshakable. Your throne is established from of old. You
are from everlasting.

5
Psalm 95:1-6 O come, let me sing for joy to ADONAI. Let me shout for joy
to the rock of my salvation. Let me come before Your presence with
thanksgiving. Let me shout joyfully to You with songs. For ADONAI is a
great God and a great King above all gods. In Your hand are the depths
of the earth, the mountain peaks are Yours also. The sea is Yours—You
made it, and Your hands formed the dry land. Come, let me worship and
bow down. Let me kneel before ADONAI my Maker.

Psalm 96:1-4 Sing to ADONAI a new song! Sing to ADONAI, all the earth.
Sing to ADONAI, bless Your Name. Proclaim the good news of Your
salvation from day to day. Declare Your glory among the nations, Your
marvelous deeds among all peoples. For great is ADONAI, and greatly to
be praised. You are to be feared above all gods.

Psalm 98:4-9 Shout joyfully to ADONAI, all the earth. Break forth, sing
for joy, and sing praises. Sing praises to ADONAI with the harp, with the
harp and a voice of melody. With trumpets and sound of the shofar
blast a sound before the King, ADONAI. Let the sea roar and all within it,
the world and those who dwell in it. Let the rivers clap their hands,
let the mountains sing for joy together—before ADONAI, for You are
coming to judge the earth. You will judge the world with righteousness
and the peoples with fairness.

Psalm 99:1-3,5 ADONAI reigns, let me tremble. You are enthroned upon
the cheruvim—let the earth shake! ADONAI is great in Zion and You are
exalted above all the peoples. Let me praise Your great and awesome
Name: holy are You. Exalt ADONAI my God and worship at Your foot-
stool: holy are You.

Psalm 100:1-5 Shout joyfully to ADONAI, all the earth! Serve ADONAI
with gladness. Come before Your presence with joyful singing. Know
that ADONAI, You are God. It is You who has made me, and I am Yours.
We are Your people, the sheep of Your pasture. Enter Your gates with
thanksgiving and Your courts with praise! Praise You, bless Your Name.
For ADONAI is good. Your lovingkindness endures forever, and Your
faithfulness to all generations.

Almighty God, Everlasting Father, Most Holy Lord, I thank you for
Your Word and how it transforms me each and every day!

The Year of Acceleration Prayer
Avinu Malkeynu – Our Father, our King:

I declare, in accordance with Your Word, that You are a sun and a shield
(Psalm 84:12) and that You bestow favor and honor. No good thing do
You withhold from those who walk uprightly.

Therefore in accordance with Your word and promises, I declare that as I

am one of God’s children, I am expecting to come into a supernatural
shift.

I have sought to be faithful in honoring and obeying You, I declare that

You are going to put me in a position that I could not have attained on
my own. You are bestowing favor and honor on me in a fresh and new
way.

I declare, in the name of Yeshua, that this year, doors are going to open
for me that have not opened before. What should have taken me 40 years
to accomplish, You are going to do in a split second.

I declare, in the name of Yeshua, that I am coming into a year where Your
blessings are accelerating.
Suddenly, a dream will come to pass.
Suddenly, a promise will be fulfilled.
Suddenly, sin will be overcome.
Suddenly, negative situations are going to turn around for good.
Suddenly, my loved ones will be healed
Suddenly, my loved ones will come to know You
Suddenly, my loved ones will walk faithfully with You

I am ready for the surpassing greatness of Your favor!

2023 is going to be an exceptional year for me as I come into these
supernatural shifts.

I pray all of this and more; In the mighty name of Yeshua, my Messiah
and Lord!!

Friday, April 7th, 2023 (16 Nissan)  Omer Day 1

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us apart by
Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 1st day of the 1st week and Day 1,

I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
What is revival?
Scripture:
Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine, for your light has come! The glory of ADONAI has
risen on you.

Ephesians 5:14 For everything made visible is light. This is why it says,
“Wake up, O sleeper! Rise from the dead, and Messiah will shine on you.
Thought:
C.H. Spurgeon said: “The word "revive" wears its meaning upon its
forehead; it is from the Latin, and may be interpreted thus—to live again,
to receive again a life which has almost expired; to rekindle into a flame
the vital spark which was nearly extinguished.”

Andrew Murray said: “A true revival means nothing less than a

revolution, casting out the spirit of worldliness and selfishness, and
making God and His love triumph in the heart and life.”
Challenge:
During these 50 days, allow your heart to be challenged. Wherever you are
spiritually, allow God to awaken you to a far greater awareness of His love
and your response to His love.
Prayer:
Adonai, place the meaning and desire for revival in my heart, mind, and
spirit. May I know that my light has come. May I wake up each morning
and experience Messiah shining His light on me. May I be excited about
You Lord! Revive me!!! 8
Saturday, April 8th, 2023 (17 Nissan)  Omer Day 2

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 2nd day of the 1st week and Day 2,

I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
The Holy Spirit (Ruach ha-Kodesh) & Revival
Scripture:
Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Ruach ha-Kodesh has come
upon you;

Ephesians 1:13-14 After you heard the message of truth—the Good News of
your salvation—and when you put your trust in Him, you were sealed with
the promised Ruach ha-Kodesh. He is the guarantee of our inheritance, until
the redemption of His possession—to His glorious praise!
Thought:
Leonard Ravenhill said: “As long as we are content to live without revival,
we will.
The Ruach seals our guarantee of who we are in the Lord. We receive power
from the Ruach. This should provide the prompting we need to cry out for
revival. We also receive the power to pursue our goal: a continued
reawakening of the reality of God continuously in our life.

Challenge:
Your challenge is to cry out for revival each morning. Ask Adonai to pour
out His Ruach upon you. Open your heart to truly desire God taking over
your life.
Prayer:
Adonai, let me be confident in all Your promises, especially that I am sealed
by the Ruach HaKodesh, my redemption is guaranteed. I pray for Your
power to come upon me, and revive me, so that I may bask in Your presence
and be effective in the ministry that You have called me to—leading others
9 to Your presence and to Your revival spirit!
Sunday, April 9th, 2023 (18 Nissan)  Omer Day 3

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us apart by Your
commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 3rd day of the 1st week and Day 3,

I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
Revival Begins With Repentance
Scripture:
Proverbs 28:13 One who covers up his transgressions will not prosper, but
whoever confesses and forsakes them finds mercy.
Acts 3:19-20 Repent, therefore, and return—so your sins might be blotted
out, so times of relief (refreshing) might come from the presence of ADONAI
and He might send Yeshua, the Messiah appointed for you.
Acts 2:38 Peter said to them, “Repent, and let each of you be immersed in the
name of Messiah Yeshua for the removal of your sins, and you will receive the
gift of the Ruach ha-Kodesh.
Thought:
C.S. Lewis said: “We all want progress, but if you're on the wrong road,
progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; in
that case, the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive.”
Consider repentance a gift from God. Use this gift daily and you are one step
closer to revival.
Challenge:
It is a challenge to be transparent as you repentant. Remember, God already
knows what you have done. He actually knows more than you. Be real with
Him. If needed, also repent to those you have hurt or wronged.
Prayer:
Adonai, I am a sinner! My thoughts are not always Your thoughts. I ask
You to transform my heart in order that my thoughts and actions agree
with Yours. May today be the start! Revive me!!!

Monday, April 10, 2023 (19 Nissan) Omer Day 4

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 4th day of the 1st week and Day 4,

I have counted the Omer.
Theme:
Revival Requires Repentance
Scripture:
Ezekiel 18:28 Because he considers and turns away from all his
transgressions that he committed, he will surely live, not die.
Acts 17:30 Although God overlooked the periods of ignorance, now He
commands everyone everywhere to repent.
Deuteronomy 30:19 Therefore choose life so that you and your
descendants may live.
Thought:
Life in the Lord requires repentance. Revival is the abundant life that
Adonai has for us. Our repentance brings life! Choose life by repenting.
Thomas Fuller: “You cannot repent too soon, because you do not know
how soon it may be too late.”
Challenge:
Because you know that true repentance brings life, your challenge is that
your repentance be sincere and transparent. After you repent, ask God
to show you the freedom you have just entered. Freedom, in Yeshua, is
the abundant life.
Prayer:
Adonai, I pray today and every day, that I will feel saturated by the
freedom there is in my repentance. May I have the courage to pour
out my heart to You in true repentance. May my repentance be seen
by You as real, sincere and accurate. May the result be the freedom
11 that only You can give in order for me to have real life—revival!
Tuesday, April 11th, 2023 (20 Nissan)  Omer Day 5

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 5th day of the 1st week and Day 5,

I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
Dying To Self Brings Revival
Scripture:
Luke 9:23-24 Then Yeshua was saying to everyone, “If anyone wants to
follow Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross every day, and follow
Me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his
life for My sake will save it.
Romans 6:4 Therefore we were buried together with Him through
immersion into death—in order that just as Messiah was raised from the
dead by the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.
Thought:
George Mueller: “There was a day when I died; died to self, my
opinions, preferences, tastes and will; died to the world, its approval
or censure; died to the approval or blame even of my brethren or
friends; and since then I have studied only to show myself approved
unto God.”
Challenge:
Being crucified with Messiah means that you care for others more
than you care for yourself. And you care for God even more. How
do you show you’re dying daily ? What have you done to deny
yourself recently? Are you ready for revival by dying to yourself?
Prayer:
Adonai, my heart is to see personal and corporate revival and so I am
praying that it start with me. I am seeking to die to myself. I am
asking for the power of the Holy Spirit to help make it happen.
Motivate and discipline me to accomplish this. Revive me!!! 12
Wednesday, April 12, 2023 (21 Nissan)  Omer Day 6

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us apart by
Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 6th day of the 1st week and Day 6,

I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
Repent—Don’t Judge
Scripture
Matthew 7:1-3 “Stop judging, so that you may not be judged. For with
the judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you
use, it will be measured to you. “Why do you look at the speck in your
brother’s eye, but do not notice the beam in your own eye?

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive

our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Thought:
William Gurnall: “A rent garment is caught by every nail, and the rent
made wider. Renew therefore thy repentance speedily, whereby this
breach may be made up, and worse prevented.”
Challenge:
Listen carefully to your speech and see if you are quicker to judge,
quicker to blame others, or quicker to repent. Look at yourself first,
repent for your shortcomings, and let God take care of judging others.
Prayer:
Lord, I need the power of Your Spirit to stop judging others and focus
on my heart, my mind, my words, my motivations, and my actions.
Please Adonai, change my desires to be Your desires. I want to break
the habit of being judgmental, and see each person through Your eyes.
Show me and convict me of my faults so I can truly repent. Revive me!!

Thursday, April 13, 2023 (22 Nissan)  Omer Day 7

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 7th day of the 1st week and Day 7,

I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
Be Broken Before The Lord
Scripture:
Psalm 34:19 ADONAI is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those
crushed in spirit.
Psalm 51:19 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and a
contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.
Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
Thought:
Jack Wellman: “God cannot fix whoever is first not broken.”
Harry Ironside: “God is looking for broken men who have judged
themselves in the light of the cross of Christ. When He wants anything
done, He takes up men who have come to the end of themselves, whose
confidence is not in themselves, but in God.”
Challenge:
Being broken requires God to fix you. You can’t fix yourself. Broken
before God says I need You, I trust You, and I am aware that I am
nothing without You. Your challenge is to see if you are desperate
enough to be broken before God.
Prayer:
Adonai, I am nothing without You. Each morning I ask You to give me
the confidence and the victory that comes from depending on You. Help
me hear Your voice and be obedient. I can’t undue the past, but I ask
that You make something beautiful out of my present and future.
14
Friday, April 14, 2023 (23 Nissan)  Omer Day 8

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 1st day of the 2nd week and Day 8,

I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
Humility: A Teachable Spirit
Scripture:
Proverbs 22:4 The reward of humility and fear of ADONAI is riches,
honor and life.
Proverbs 11:2 When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the
humble is wisdom.
James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of ADONAI, and He shall
lift you up.
Thought:
Someone said,”Education is going from an unconscious to conscious
awareness of one’s ignorance.”..No one has a corner on wisdom. All
the name-dropping in the world does not heighten the significance of
our character. If anything, it reduces it. Our acute need is to cultivate
a willingness to learn and to remain teachable.― Charles Swindoll
Challenge:
True humility is seeing ourselves as we really are, sinful and helpless
without God. We can have strong self-esteem and still need God’s
teachings which are sometimes delivered by people He puts in our
lives. Humility requires a teachable spirit.
Prayer:
Avinu Malkeynu, our Father and our King, as I pray for revival, I also
pray for the ability, through Your Spirit, to humble myself and be
teachable. My desire is to see Your will be done in my heart, soul, and
mind. I come against any arrogance. I humble myself before You.
15 Revive me!!!
Saturday, April 15, 2023 (24 Nissan)  Omer Day 9

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 2nd day of the 2nd week and Day 9,

I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
Humility: A Servants Heart
Scripture:
Micah 6:8 He has told you, humanity, what is good, and what ADONAI is
seeking from you: Only to practice justice, to love mercy, and to walk
humbly with your God.
2 Chronicles 7:14 When My people, over whom My Name is called, humble
themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their evil ways, then I
will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Philippians 2:6-8 Who, though existing in the form of God, did not
consider being equal to God a thing to be grasped. But He emptied
Himself—taking on the form of a slave, becoming the likeness of men and
being found in appearance as a man. He humbled Himself—becoming
obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
Thought
A man can counterfeit love, he can counterfeit faith, he can counterfeit
hope and all the other graces, but it is very difficult to counterfeit
humility. D.L. Moody
Challenge:
One who serves to bring glory to God is one who is seeking revival. God
will walk with one who is humble. God will answer prayers through one
who is humble. It is easy to follow a leader who is truly humble.
Prayer:
Lord, help me be humble as I seek to serve, care for others before my
needs, and do everything for Your glory. 16
Sunday, April 16, 2023 (25 Nissan)  Omer Day 10

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 3rd day of the 2nd week and Day 10,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme
Beginning Is A Requirement To Become Revived
Scripture:
Psalm 5:4 ADONAI, in the morning You hear my voice. In the morning I
order my prayer before You and watch expectantly.
Nehemiah 2:18 Then I told them how the good hand of my God was on me
and the words that the king had said to me. Then they replied, “Let
us begin building!” So they prepared themselves for this good work.
Acts 11:15 As I began to speak, the Ruach ha-Kodesh fell on them, just as on
us at the beginning.
Thought:
Neal A. Maxwell: “God does not begin by asking our ability, only our
availability, and if we prove our dependability, He will increase our
capability.”
Prem Jagyasi: “Let go of that which is unnecessary to make space for that
which is meaningful. This is the simplest way to begin a process that will
change your life for good.”
Challenge:
If you have not already started, begin to do those things that will open your
heart to revival.. It’s never to late to begin. Morning devotions is a good
place to begin. Being thankful is another good place to begin. You know
what to do—BEGIN!!
Prayer:
Lord, help me begin and be a promise keeper. Help me to be faithful in all
that I begin. I come against distractions and passivity. Beginning and
continuing will give me the opportunity to be revived. Revive me!!!

Monday, April 17, 2023 (26 Nissan)  Omer Day 11

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 4th day of the 2nd week and Day 11,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
Praying Requires Patience
Scripture:
Romans 15:5-6 Now may the God of patience and encouragement grant you
to be like-minded with one another in the manner of Messiah Yeshua, so that
together with one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our
Lord Yeshua the Messiah.
Colossians 1:11 We pray that you may be strengthened with all the power
that comes from His glorious might, for you to have all kinds of patience
and steadfastness.
1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my dearly loved brethren, be steadfast,
immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord—because you know that
your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
Thought:
Thomas Watson: “There are no sins God's people are more subject to than
unbelief and impatience. They are ready either to faint through unbelief, or
to fret through impatience.”
Challenge:
Commit yourself to 40 days of prayer. Be steadfast, patient and extremely
hopeful that your labor is not in vain.
Prayer:
2 Thessalonians 3:5 “May the Lord direct your hearts into the love of
God and into the patience of Messiah.” Lord, I know that You know
best and I will trust You with all my requests. I will wait with joy and
anticipation for Your revival Spirit to be in me. 18
Tuesday, April 18, 2023 (12 Nissan)  Omer Day 12

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 5th day of the 2nd week and Day 12,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
Praying Expects Victory
Scripture:
Deuteronomy 20:4 For the Lord your God is the one who goes with
you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.
1 John 5:4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the
victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.
Thought:
G. Campbell Morgan: “Prayer is life passionately wanting, wishing,
desiring God's triumph. Prayer is life striving and toiling everywhere
and always for that ultimate victory.”
Alan Redpath: Any battle for victory, power, and deliverance - from
ourselves and from sin - which is not based constantly upon the gazing
and the beholding of the Lord Jesus, with the heart and life lifted up to
Him, is doomed to failure.
Challenge:
Expect victory through prayer. Victory is revival! Let this be your
heartbeat. Your faith and hope is based on God’s Word. There will be
spiritual warfare, but you are a warrior for the Lord. As a child of God,
expect Him to do amazing things.

Prayer:
Lord, I pray for victory so that You will receive the glory. May Your
revival come and be a great testimony among Your remnant who are l
laboring in the fields for Your kingdom. Begin with me! Revive me!

Wednesday, April 19, 2023 (28 Nissan)  Omer Day 13

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 6th day of the 2nd week and Day 13,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
Prayer Brings God’s Directive
Scripture:
Luke 2:36-37 Now Anna, a daughter of Phanuel of the tribe of Asher, was a
prophetess. She was well advanced in age, having lived with a husband
only seven years and then as a widow until age eighty-four. She never left
the Temple, serving night and day with fasting and prayers.
Thought:
Henry Blackaby: “If you know that God loves you, you should never
question a directive from Him. It will always be right and best. When He
gives you a directive, you are not just to observe it, discuss it, or debate it.
You are to obey it.”
Winkie Pratney: “Those that God used in the past were just ordinary people
with an extraordinary Master. They were not all champions of great faith,
but little people who saw their own need, and put their small faith in a great
God.”
Challenge:
Have faith that God called you for such a time as this. God wants to use us
to shake the world from it’s lethargy. We first have to be willing to hear His
voice and obey. After faithful and consistent prayer, God will direct us.
Prayer:
I pray over myself: 2 Timothy 2:4 “No one serving as a soldier entangles
himself in the activities of everyday life, so that he might please the one who
enlisted him.” Help me hear You and be directed by You. Lord help me be
faithful with Your directive. Revive me!!

Thursday, April 20, 2023 (29 Nissan)  Omer Day 14

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 7th day of the 2nd week and Day 14,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
Our Intimacy With God Is Revival
Scripture:
Psalm 63: O God, You are my God, earnestly I seek You. My soul thirsts for
You. My flesh longs for You in a dry and weary land, where there is no water.
So, I looked for You in the Sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory.
Since Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips will praise You. So I
will bless You as long as I live. In Your name I lift up my hands. My soul is
satisfied as with fat and oil, so my mouth praises You with joyful lips.
John 15:4 Abide in Me, and I will abide in you.

Thought:
Oswald Chambers: “The battle of prayer is against two things in the earthlies:
wandering thoughts and lack of intimacy with God's character as revealed in
His word. Neither can be cured at once, but they can be cured by discipline.”
James 4:8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your
hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded!
Challenge:
Repent from your sins, sense God’s purity wash over you, and cry out to God.
Grow your desire to be close to God. Produce words from your heart that show
intimacy with Him. You will be in His presence. You will abide in Him. You
will trust in Him and you will begin to be revived.
Prayer:
Lord, wash me clean of my sins, that I may come into Your presence and enjoy
true intimacy with You. As I discipline myself to pray, revive me!!

Friday, April 21, 2023 (30 Nissan)  Omer Day 15

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 1st day of the 3rd week and Day 15,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
God’s Word Brings Intimacy Through Unity
Scripture:
John 17:22-23 The glory that You have given to Me I have given to them,
that they may be one just as We are one—I in them and You in Me—that
they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent
Me and loved them as You loved Me.
Psalm 133:1-3 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to
dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, coming
down upon the beard—Aaron’s beard—coming down on the collar of his
robes. It is like the dew of Hermon, coming down upon the mountains of
Zion. For there ADONAI commanded the blessing—life forevermore!
Thought:
Seeing God’s Word through God’s eyes brings intimacy with His heart.
Being in unity with God and man is being in agreement with God’s
Word. There is peace in agreement; and intimacy is a result of that peace.
Challenge:
Dr. Michael Brown: “What would happen if, instead of continuing in
spiritual dullness or frustration or unbelief, we got on our knees with
scriptures open, reading the glorious accounts afresh-as if we had never
read them before and as if every word was true-and asked God to do
whatever He had to do to enable us to take hold of His reality?
Prayer:
Father, I need the peace that only You can give me so I can enjoy intimacy
with You. May I be in unity with You and man as I discipline myself to
pray. Revive me!! 22
Saturday, April 22, 2023 (1 Iyar)  Omer Day 16

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 2nd day of the 3rd week and Day 16,
I have counted the Omer.
Theme:
Intimacy With God Is Striving To Know Him Better
Scripture:
Exodus 33:13 (Moses) Now then, I pray, if I have found grace in Your eyes,
show me Your ways, so that I may know You, so that I might find favor in
Your sight. Consider also that this nation is Your people.”
Philippians 3:12-14 Not that I have already obtained this or been perfected,
but I press on if only I might take hold of that for which Messiah Yeshua took
hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself as having taken hold
of this. But this one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining
toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal for the reward of the upward
calling of God in Messiah Yeshua.
Thought:
J.I. Packer: Once you become aware that the main business that you are here
for is to know God, most of life's problems fall into place of their own accord.
Major Ian Thomas: “The moment you come to realize that only God can make
a man godly, you are left with no option but to find God, and to know God,
and to let God be God in and through you. “
Oswald Chambers: “We look upon prayer as a means of getting things for
ourselves; The Bible idea of prayer is that we may get to know God Himself. “
Challenge:
Seek to know God, call upon Him, find Him in His Word, and H will respond.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to do those things that will allow me to know you better.
23As I discipline myself to pray and fast, revive me!!
Sunday, April 23, 2023 (2 Iyar)  Omer Day 17

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 3rd day of the 3rd week and Day 17,
I have counted the Omer.
Theme:
Expect Miracles From God
Scripture:
John 14:12-14 Amen, amen I tell you, he who puts his trust in Me, the works
that I do he will do; and greater than these he will do, because I am going to
the Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, so that the
Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in My name, I will
do it.
Matthew 17:20 And He said to them, “Because you trust so little. Amen, I tell
you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this
mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be
impossible for you.”
Thought:
Augustine: “I never have any difficulty believing in miracles, since I
experienced the miracle of a change in my own heart.”
Elisabeth Elliott: “Here lies the tremendous mystery - that God should be all-
powerful, yet refuse to coerce. He summons us to cooperation. We are
honoured in being given the opportunity to participate in his good deeds.
Remember how He asked for help in performing his miracles: Fill the
waterpots, stretch out your hand, distribute the loaves.”
Challenge:
Be honest and cry out to God the same way as in: Mark 9:24 “Immediately the
boy’s father cried out, “I believe! Help my unbelief.”
Prayer:
Father, help me to believe in miracles so strongly that I will always pray with
expectation. Open my eyes to see Your miraculous—Revive me!! 24
Monday, April 24, 2023 (3 Iyar)  Omer Day 18

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 4th day of the 3rd week and Day 18,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
Revival: Don’t Judge, Focus On The Goal
Scripture:
Galatians 6:1-2 Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught doing something
wrong, you who are directed by the Ruach, restore such a person in a spirit of
gentleness—looking closely at yourself so you are not tempted also. Bear one
another’s burdens, and in this way you fulfill the Torah of Messiah.
Matthew 7:1 Stop judging, so that you may not be judged. For with the
judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will
be measured to you.
Philippians 3:13-14 But this one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and
straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal for the reward of the
upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua.
Thought:
John R. Rice: “His brokenhearted cry on the cross, "Father, forgive them; for
they know not what they do," shows God's heart toward sinners.”
Challenge:
Revival and intimacy with the Lord, requires us to have God’s heart. Look at
your words and your actions and evaluate whether or not you are an example
of God’s heart. Do you judge others, or focus on God and His goal for you?
Prayer:
Lord, it is only by Your Spirit in me that I can have a heart like Yours. Help
me exhibit the fruits of Your Spirit! I come against a judgmental heart in the
name of Yeshua. Help me focus on Your goal and revive me!!

Tuesday, April 25, 2023 (4 Iyar)  Omer Day 19

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 5th day of the 3rd week and Day 19,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
Humility Leads To Revival
Scripture:
Proverbs 22:4 The reward of humility and fear of ADONAI is riches, honor
and life.
1 Peter 5:5 And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one
another, for “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may
lift you up at the appropriate time. Cast all your worries on Him, for He
cares for you.
Thought:
Andrew Murray: “The greatest test of whether the holiness we profess to seek
or to attain is truth and life will be whether it produces an increasing
humility in us. In man, humility is the one thing needed to allow God's
holiness to dwell in him and shine through him. The chief mark of
counterfeit holiness is lack of humility. The holiest will be the humblest.”
Bernard of Clairvaux: Humility is the guardian of virtue.
Challenge:
Our desire to be revived starts with humility as it gives us the kind of life that
brings us closer to God. Are you truly humble? As we look at humility over the
next few days, challenge yourself to see if God wants you to work on this
attribute.
Prayer:
Adonai, I come to You in humility. I seek to make You, and the people I
come in contact with, more important then myself. Help me to see myself as
You see me. Revive me!!

Wednesday, April 26, 2023 (5 Iyar)  Omer Day 20

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 6th day of the 3rd week and Day 20,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
Humility, A Strength Through Sacrifice
Scripture:
Philippians 2:3-8 Do nothing out of selfishness or conceit, but with humility
consider others as more important than yourselves, looking out not only for
your own interests but also for the interests of others. Have this attitude in
yourselves, which also was in Messiah Yeshua, Who, though existing in the
form of God, did not consider being equal to God a thing to be grasped. But
He emptied Himself—taking on the form of a slave, becoming the likeness of
men and being found in appearance as a man. He humbled Himself—
becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

Thought:
Abraham Joshua Heschel: “Self-respect is the root of discipline: The sense of
dignity grows with the ability to say no to oneself”
Rabbi Ofer Amitai: “If you become a sacrifice, you will never be a victim.”
Your ability to put others first in your life displays your humility and
demonstrates your strength of character.
Challenge:
Do I ask myself whether or not I am humble, or do I ask myself whether I
sacrificially put others before myself. The way you answer that question might
reveal if you are focused on the wrong question. Do I sacrificially put God’s
desires before my own?
Prayer:
Father, I realize there is distance between my understanding of humility and
Yours. Give me the desire and strength to be humble. May I prove by putting
27 others before me that I have learned humility. Revive me!!
Thursday, April 27, 2023 (6 Iyar)  Omer Day 21

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 7th day of the 3rd week and Day 21,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
Humility: Sacrifice Is A Privilege
Scripture:
Hebrews 12:1-3 Therefore, since we have such a great cloud of witnesses
surrounding us, let us also get rid of every weight and entangling sin. Let
us run with endurance the race set before us, focusing on Yeshua, the
initiator and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him, He endured
the cross, disregarding its shame; and He has taken His seat at the right
hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who has endured such hostility
by sinners against Himself, so that you may not grow weary in your souls
and lose heart.
Thought:
Frederick W. Robertson: “In God's world, for those who are in earnest,
there is no failure. No work truly done, no word earnestly spoken,
no sacrifice freely made, was ever made in vain.”
David Livingstone: “People talk of the sacrifice I have made in spending
so much of my life in Africa. It is emphatically no sacrifice. Say rather it
is a privilege.”
David Livingstone: If a commission by an earthly king is considered an
honor, how can a commission by a Heavenly King be considered a
sacrifice?

Challenge:
Practice true humility by sacrificing with joy, knowing it is a privilege.
Prayer:
I fall short in displaying true humility. Touch me in order for me to have
the strength to be truly humble. Revive me!! 28
Friday, April 28, 2023 (7 Iyar)  Omer Day 22

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 1st day of the 4th week and Day 22,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
Humility Is Having A Teachable Spirit
Scripture:
Job 34:32 Teach me what I cannot see. If I have done evil, I will not do it
again.
Proverbs 15:32 Whoever avoids correction despises himself, but whoever heeds
reproof acquires understanding.
Psalm 139:23-24 Search me, O God, and know my heart. Examine me, and
know my anxious thoughts, and see if there be any offensive way within me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.
Thought:
J.I. Packer: “Not until we have become humble and teachable, standing in awe
of God's holiness and sovereignty. acknowledging our own littleness,
distrusting our own thoughts, and willing to have our minds turned upside
down, can divine wisdom become ours.”
Watchman Nee: “Only as they cease to seek anything by themselves and only
as they take the position of the teachable shall they be taught by the Spirit
truth which they are able to digest.”
Challenge:
Are you offended when someone corrects you or let’s you know that they
expected more from you? Your challenge is to look at people’s hearts and receive
their words with a teachable spirit.
Prayer:
Father, touch my heart that I may receive words with grace and may I have a teachable
29 spirit in order to be closer to You. Revive me!!
Saturday, April 29, 2023 (8 Iyar)  Omer Day 23

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 2nd day of the 4th week and Day 23,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
Is Humility Being A Doormat?
Scripture:
Leviticus 19:18 Love your neighbor as yourself. I am ADONAI.

Romans 12:10 Be tenderly devoted to one another in brotherly love;

outdo one another in giving honor.

Philippians 2:3 Do nothing out of selfishness or conceit, but with

humility consider others as more important than yourselves,

Thought:
Steve Arterburn: “Humility isn’t thinking less of your-self; it’s thinking
more of God and of others. Humility isn’t about putting our-selves down,
but rather, about glorifying God and affirming others. Humility isn’t about
being a doormat; it’s about being a doorway–a doorway through which
others enter into the presence and power of God. By focusing on building
others up and helping others connect with God, we show them the love of
God, who desires the best for them.”
Challenge:
Yeshua was not a doormat, yet He gave up His life willingly. Do the same!
Give ups your rights in order to put others first. Then your behavior and
your words will give God the glory.
Prayer:
I pray Lord that I would be a light to everyone, especially those in darkness.
I pray for my humility to be seen by others so they come to You. I pray my
pride will not interfere with Your work. Revive me!! 30
Sunday, April 30, 2023 (9 Iyar)  Omer Day 24

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 3rd day of the 4th week and Day 24,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
Humility: Is Accurately Self-Aware
Scripture:
Psalm 51:4-6 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from my
sin. For I know my transgressions and my sin is ever before me.
Against You, You only, have I sinned, and done what is evil in Your sight, so
that You are just when You speak, and blameless when You judge.
1 Timothy 4:16 Give attention to yourself and your teaching. Persevere in
these things, for in doing so you will save yourself and those who hear you.
2 Corinthians 13:5 Test yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith.
Examine yourselves!
Thought:
Self-awareness is conscious knowledge of one's own character, feelings,
motives, and desires. In order for you to get an accurate assessment, you need
to be humble. That will allow you to be transparent with yourself.
King David did this often. He was aware of his sins. He was able to go
forward because he saw himself accurately and then was able to do something
about it. Through his humble self-awareness, he became revived.
Challenge:
The desire for personal revival should cause us to want to do a truthful
assessment of our 1. Character 2. Feelings 3. Motives 4. Desires. You will
need to write this down and then see what God wants you to work on. This
challenge could take weeks or longer, however, the key is to start now.
Prayer:
Lord, I don’t enjoy the pain of examining myself. However, as I do want
31 revival, and the humility needed to be close to You, please help me.
Monday, May 1, 2023 (10 Iyar)  Omer Day 25

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 4th day of the 4th week and Day 25,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
Yeshua Requires Us To Be Humble
Scripture:
Matthew 20:26-28 It shall not be this way among you. But whoever wants to
be great among you shall be your servant, and whoever wants to be first
among you shall be your slave—just as the Son of Man did not come to be
served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.
John 13:12-17 So after He had washed their feet and put His robe back on
and reclined again, He said to them, “Do you understand what I have done
for you? You call Me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Master’—and rightly you say, for I
am. So if I, your Master and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought
to wash each other’s feet. I have given you an example—you should do for
each other what I have done for you. “Amen, amen I tell you, a servant isn’t
greater than his master, and the one who is sent isn’t greater than the one
who sent him. If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them!”
Thought:
Our lives are filled with stressful relationships, circumstances, and decisions.
During those times, we find out if we are humble. If Yeshua was standing by
your side, would He say that you act with humility?
Challenge:
Review the past few days. Have you had a situation or a relationship that
included tension? Evaluate your motives, your words, and your behavior.
Prayer:
Lord, “May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be
acceptable before You, ADONAI, my Rock and my Redeemer.” Psalm 19:15
Revive me!! 32
Tuesday, May 2, 2023 (11 Iyar)  Omer Day 26

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 5th day of the 4th week and Day 26,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
Expect Revival
Scripture:
Psalm 5:4 ADONAI, in the morning You hear my voice. In the morning I
order my prayer before You and watch expectantly.
Psalm 62:6 My soul, wait in stillness, only for God— for from Him comes
my expectation.
Acts 1:4, 8 Now while staying with them, He commanded them not to
leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father promised—which, He said,
“you heard from Me... But you will receive power when the Ruach ha-
Kodesh has come upon you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and
through all Judah, and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
Thought:
A.B. Simpson: “Our God has boundless resources. The only limit is in us.
Our asking, our thinking, our praying are too small. Our expectations are
too limited.”
Andrew Murray: “Faith expects from God what is beyond all expectation.”
Charles Spurgeon: “God has great things in store for His people; they
ought to have large expectations.”
Challenge:
Each day we count the omer, expect God’s Spirit to be poured out on you,
transforming you, and reviving you.
Prayer:
Pour out Your Spirit on myself, my family, on our congregation, and on
our country. I am excitingly waiting on You.

Wednesday, May 3, 2023 (12 Iyar)  Omer Day 27

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 6th day of the 4th week and Day 27,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
Wait For Revival
Scripture:
Isaiah 25:9 It will be said in that day: “Behold, this is our God, We waited
for Him—He will save us. This is ADONAI—we waited for Him. We will
rejoice and be glad in His salvation.”
Isaiah 30:18 Therefore ADONAI is longing to be gracious to you. Thus He
will be exalted, so He may have mercy on you. For ADONAI is a God of
justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him.
Luke 2:25-26 Now there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon,
and this man was just and pious, waiting for the consolation of Israel. The
Ruach ha-Kodesh was on him. And it had been revealed to him by the
Ruach ha-Kodesh that he would not die before he had seen the Anointed
One of ADONAI.
Thought:
Alexander MacLaren: “The prayer that begins with trustfulness, and passes
on into waiting, will always end in thankfulness, triumph, and praise.”
Charles H. Brent: “A man must not stop listening any more than praying
when he rises from his knees. No one questions the need of times of formal
address to God, but few admit in any practical way the need of quiet
waiting upon God, gazing into His face, feeling for His hand, listening for
His voice.”
Challenge:
It is hard for us to wait in our modern culture, but that is our challenge. Good
things come to those who wait. The Lord is faithful—Let’s wait on Him.
Prayer:
Father, give me the desire and strength to wait upon You. Revive me!! 34
Thursday, May 4, 2023 (13 Iyar)  Omer Day 28

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 7th day of the 4th week and Day 28,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
Waiting For Revival Part 2
Scripture:
Isaiah 40:30-31 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and
fall, but they who wait for ADONAI will renew their strength. They will soar up
with wings as eagles. They will run, and not grow weary. They will walk, and not
be faint.
Hosea 12:7 So you should return to your God, keep covenant loyalty and justice,
and wait for your God continually.
Habakkuk 2:3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time. It hastens to the end
and will not fail. If it should be slow in coming, wait for it, For it will surely
come—it will not delay.”
Thought:
E.M. Bounds: “The goal of prayer is the ear of God, a goal that can only be
reached by patient and continued and continuous waiting upon Him, pouring
out our heart to Him and permitting Him to speak to us. Only by so doing can
we expect to know Him, and as we come to know Him better we shall spend
more time in His presence and find that presence a constant and ever-increasing
delight.”
G. Campbell Morgan: “Waiting for God means power to do nothing save under
command. This is not lack of power to do anything. Waiting for God needs
strength rather than weakness. It is power to do nothing. It is the strength that
holds strength in check. It is the strength that prevents the blundering activity
which is entirely false and will make true activity impossible when the definite
command comes.”
Challenge:
Being able to wait on God is so important.. It is not passive. We are actively
wait with faith and hope.
Prayer:
35 Lord, give me all that I need as I actively wait on the Lord. Revive me!!
Friday, May 5, 2023 (14 Iyar)  Omer Day 29

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 1st day of the 5th week and Day 29,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
Waiting For Revival Part 3
Scripture:
Psalm 31:25 Chazak! Let your heart take courage, all you who wait for
ADONAI.
Psalm 130:5-6 I wait for ADONAI, my soul waits, and in His word I hope. My
soul waits for my Lord, more than watchmen for the morning, watchmen for
the morning.
Job 13:15 Even if He slays me, I will wait for Him; I will surely defend my
ways before Him
Jude 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, eagerly waiting for the mercy of
our Lord Yeshua the Messiah that leads to eternal life.
Thought:
Watchman Nee: “When one tries to increase his knowledge by doing mental
gymnastics over books without waiting upon God and looking to the guidance
of the Holy Spirit, his soul is plainly in full swing. This will deplete his
spiritual life. Because the fall of man was occasioned by seeking knowledge,
God uses the foolishness of the cross to "destroy the wisdom of the wise."
Challenge:
Be persistent each day as you wait upon the Lord to answer your prayer. You
are in a spiritual battle. Battles take time. Enjoy the journey of waiting.
Believe that God has something good in store for you.
Prayer:
I humbly come to You as I seek to wait with expectation, faith and joy. Revive
me and my family. Send Your fire! Revive us!!

Saturday, May 6, 2023 (15 Iyar)  Omer Day 30

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 2nd day of the 5th week and Day 30,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
Standing On God’s Word For Revival
Scripture:
Psalm 85:7 Will You not revive us again, so Your people may rejoice in You?
Isaiah 57:15 For thus says the High and Exalted One who inhabits eternity,
whose Name is Holy: “I dwell in a high and holy place, yet also with a contrite
and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and revive the heart of
the contrite.
Psalm 119:25-27 My soul clings to the dust. Revive me according to Your
word! I told of my ways and You answered me. Teach me Your statutes. Help
me discern the way of Your precepts, so I may meditate on Your wonders.
Thought:
Revival depends on God’s Spirit visiting us. Our ability to summon a revival
is nil. However, we can stand on God’s Word, which has authority and
power, in order to see God working in His miraculous ways.
Challenge:
Find a couple scriptures that have to do with revival, awakening, or similar
topics and pray those scriptures to God. Expect the power of God’s word to
encourage you and give you a greater sense that revival is going to happen.
Maybe try Psalm 119:25, asking God to revive you according to His word.
Prayer:
Lord, help me find the right scriptures to pray in order to have authority in my
prayer life as I stand on Your promises. I pray that my faith would rise up and
the power of my prayer would be evident because it would be based on Your
37word. As I discipline myself to pray scripture, revive me & revive my family!!
Sunday, May 7, 2023 (16 Iyar)  Omer Day 31

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 3rd day of the 5th week and Day 31,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
Standing On God’s Word For Revival Part 2
Scripture:
2 Chronicles 7:12-16 Then ADONAI appeared to Solomon at night and said
to him: “I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for Myself
for a House of sacrifice. If I shut up heaven that there is no rain, or if I
command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My
people, when My people, over whom My Name is called, humble
themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their evil ways, then I
will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their
land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer
offered in this place. For now I have chosen and consecrated this House so
that My Name may be there forever. My eyes and My heart shall be there
perpetually.
Thought:
When we pray the scripture above, we are asking God for numerous things
based on His word. God said that His eyes, heart and name would be
there forever. This scripture is about corporate repentance. That would
take His revival. Pray for a deep corporate repentance within our country.
Wouldn’t you agree, that is God’s desire?
Challenge:
Let’s pray this scripture, but not just pray that God heals our land. But
pray that we as believers will humble ourselves, seek God’s face and turn
from our evil ways.
Prayer:
Lord, I pray 2 Chronicles 7:12-16—all of it; with the conviction of knowing
this is Your word and it will never return void. Send revival worldwide!!

Monday, May 8, 2023 (17 Iyar)  Omer Day 32

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 4th day of the 5th week and Day 32,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
What Can We Expect In Revival–God’s Word Exalted
Scripture:
Psalm 119:10-12 With my whole heart have I sought You —let me not stray
from Your mitzvot. I have treasured Your word in my heart, so I might not
sin against You. Blessed are You, ADONAI. Teach me Your statutes.
Psalm 1:1-3 Happy is the one who has not walked in the advice of the wicked,
nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sat in the seat of scoffers. But his delight
is in the Torah of ADONAI, and on His Torah he meditates day and night. He
will be like a planted tree over streams of water, producing its fruit during its
season. Its leaf never droops—but in all he does, he succeeds.
Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Thought:
The Bible is God’s written revelation to man. All sixty-six books: Genesis thru
Revelation are equally inspired by the Holy Spirit and constitute the complete
Word of God. The Bible is the inerrant, unchangeable, infallible, prophetic,
authoritative Word of God, for all people ~ for all time. The Bible is our
highest authority in all matters of faith, life, and practice. It is entirely
trustworthy and is the final authority on everything it teaches. When you
disagree with the Bible, change your opinion.
Challenge:
Challenge yourself with these questions: Do I love scripture? Do I see scripture
as the final authority? Do I use scripture to make decisions? Do I use scripture
to decide right from wrong? Do I apply scripture to my life? Do I live it?
Prayer:
Help me to read scripture, study it, memorize it, pray it, apply it, and be
excited about it. May I love Your Word in all situations. Revive me!!!

A NOTE FROM RABBI STEVE
Lag Ba’omer is a traditional holiday mostly observed in the Orthodox
Jewish community. I thought you would find this shortened article
interesting.

WHAT IS LAG BA’OMER?

The 33rd day of the Omer is an occasion for happiness during an otherwise
mournful period. By Francine Klagsbrun
Lag Ba’Omer is a minor holiday that occurs on the 33rd day of the Omer,
the 49-day period between Passover and Shavuot. A break from the semi-
mourning of the Omer, key aspects of Lag Ba’Omer include holding
Jewish Weddings (it’s the one day during the Omer when Jewish law
permits them), lighting bonfires and haircuts.
There are a few explanations why we celebrate Lag Ba’Omer, but none is
definitive. The Omer is a time of semi-mourning, when weddings and
other celebrations are forbidden, and as a sign of grief, observant Jews do
not cut their hair. Anthropologists say that many peoples have similar
periods of restraint in the early spring to symbolize their concerns about
the growth of their crops.
But the most often cited explanation for the Jewish practice comes from
the Talmud, which tells us that during this season a plague killed
thousands of Rabbi Akiva’s students because they did not treat one
another respectfully. The mourning behavior is presumably in memory of
those students and their severe punishment.
According to a medieval tradition, the plague ceased on Lag Ba’Omer,
the 33rd day of the Omer. (The Hebrew letters lamed and gimel which
make up the acronym “Lag” have the combined numerical value of 33.) As
a result, Lag Ba’Omer became a happy day, interrupting the sadness of
the Omer period for 24 hours.
The Talmudic explanation makes most sense when put into historical
context. The outstanding sage Rabbi Akiva became an ardent supporter of
Simeon bar Koseva, known as Bar Kochba, who in 132 C.E. led a ferocious
but unsuccessful revolt against Roman rule in Judea. Akiva not only
pinned his hopes on a political victory over Rome but believed Bar Kokhba
to be the long-awaited Messiah.
Many of his students joined him in backing the revolt and were killed
along with thousands of Judeans when it failed. The Talmudic rabbis, still
suffering under Roman rule and cautious about referring openly to past
rebellions, may have been hinting at those deaths when they spoke of a
plague among Akiva’s students. Possibly, also, Lag Ba’Omer marked a
respite from battle, or a momentary victory.

Tuesday, May 9, 2023 (18 Iyar)  Omer Day 33

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 5th day of the 5th week and Day 33,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
What Can We Expect In Revival – Repentance
Scripture:
Nehemiah 9:28 When they repented and cried out to You, You heard
from heaven, and according to Your compassion You delivered them
many times.
Mark 1:4 John appeared, immersing in the wilderness, proclaiming an
immersion involving repentance for the removal of sins.
Acts 3:19-20 Repent, therefore, and return—so your sins might be blotted
out, so times of relief might come from the presence of ADONAI and He
might send Yeshua, the Messiah appointed for you.
Isaiah 6:5 Then I said: “Oy to me! For I am ruined! For I am a man of
unclean lips, and I am dwelling among a people of unclean lips. For my
eyes have seen the King, ADONAI-Tzva’ot!”
Thought:
Charles Spurgeon: “Our prayers have stains in them, our faith is mixed with
unbelief, our repentance is not so tender as it should be, our communion is
distant and interrupted. We cannot pray without sinning, and there is filth
even in our tears.”
Challenge:
Part of your quiet time each day should include repentance. If you don’t
know why you are to repent, God does.
Prayer:
Lord, humble my heart and mind so that my Messiah to wash away my filth.
As You revive me, allow me to see myself as I really am, and see You, the
Great I AM. May I truly be sorry for my sin. Revive me!!

Wednesday, May 10, 2023 (19 Iyar)  Omer Day 34

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 6th day of the 5th week and Day 34,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
What Can We Expect In Revival – Brokenness
Scripture:
Psalm 34:18-20 The righteous cry out and ADONAI hears, and delivers
them from all their troubles. ADONAI is close to the brokenhearted, and
saves those crushed in spirit. Many are the distresses of the righteous,
but ADONAI delivers him out of them all.
Psalm 51:19 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and a
contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.
Hebrew 12:2 focusing on Yeshua, the initiator and perfecter of faith. For
the joy set before Him, He endured the cross, disregarding its shame;
Thought:
In a genuine revival, the passion for purity and for God to receive all the
glory becomes intense. Experiencing brokenness is not necessarily joyful,
but it’s part of encountering God’s holiness.
Francis Frangipane: “God can never entrust His Kingdom to anyone who
has not been broken of pride, for pride is the armour of darkness itself.”
Harry Ironside: “God is looking for broken men who have judged
themselves in the light of the cross of Christ. When He wants anything
done, He takes up men who have come to the end of themselves, whose
confidence is not in themselves, but in God.”
Challenge:
Allow yourself to be broken before the Lord. Rid yourself of the walls
that keep you from being real with God. God will heal and restore you.
Prayer:
Lord, take every broken part of me and restore me. You are the potter, I
am the clay. Allow me to be useful for Your kingdom. Revive me!! 42
Thusday, May 11, 2023 (20 Iyar)  Omer Day 35

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 7th day of the 5th week and Day 35,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
What Can We Expect In Revival – Forgive/Reconcile
Scripture:
Matthew 18:21-22 Then Peter came to Him and said, “Master, how often shall
I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?” Yeshua
said to him, “No, not up to seven times, I tell you, but seventy times seven!”
Matthew 5:23-24 “Therefore if you are presenting your offering upon the
altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave
your offering there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your
brother, and then come and present your offering.”
2 Corinthians 5:18 Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to
Himself through Messiah and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.
Thought:
C.S. Lewis: “Every one says forgiveness is a lovely idea, until they have
something to forgive.”
D.L. Moody: “I firmly believe a great many prayers are not answered because we
are not willing to forgive someone.”
Henry Ward Beecher: “I can forgive, but I cannot forget, is only another way of
saying, I will not forgive. Forgiveness ought to be like a cancelled note - torn in
two, and burned up, so that it never can be shown against one.”
Challenge:
Forgive! Forgiveness sets you free of anger and bitterness. As much as it
depends on you, be at peace with everyone. (Romans 12:18)
Prayer:
Father, thank you for forgiving me and directing me to forgive. Help me be a
43minister of reconciliation. I ask for strength to accomplish this. Revive me!!
Friday, May 12, 2023 (21 Iyar)  Omer Day 36

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 1st day of the 6th week and Day 36,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
What Can We Expect In Revival – A Renewal of Prayer
Scripture:
Daniel 9:3 So I set my face to the Lord God to seek Him by prayer and
supplications, with fasting, sackcloth and ashes.
Daniel 6:11 Now when Daniel learned that a written decree had been issued, he
went into his house, where the windows in his upper room opened toward
Jerusalem. Three times a day he knelt down, prayed and gave thanks before his
God, just as he did before.
Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything—but in everything, by
prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
James 5:16 So confess your offenses to one another and pray for one another so
that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous person is very
powerful.
Thought:
A.T. Pierson: “There has never been a spiritual awakening in any country or
locality that did not begin in united prayer.”
A.W. Pink: “Real prayer is communion with God, so that there will be
common thoughts between His mind and ours.

Challenge:
Each day, have a strong prayer time with the Lord and for the entire day, pray
continuously.
Prayer:
Lord, motivate me to pray without ceasing. May my prayer life be a key pillar in
in my relationship with You. May my prayer life grow daily. Revive me!!

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 2nd day of the 6th week and Day 37,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
What Can We Expect In Revival – Great Joy
Scripture:
Psalm 16:11 You make known to me the path of life. Abundance of joys are in
Your presence, eternal pleasures at Your right hand
Psalm 51:14 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and sustain me with a
willing spirit.
Isaiah 12:3 With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.
John 15:11 These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you,
and your joy may be full.
Thought:
A.B. Simpson: “Begin to rejoice in the Lord, and your bones will flourish like
an herb, and your cheeks will glow with the bloom of health and freshness.
Worry, fear, distrust, care-all are poisonous! Joy is balm and healing, and if
you will but rejoice, God will give power.”
A.W. Tozer: “What I am anxious to see in Christian believers is a beautiful
paradox. I want to see in them the joy of finding God while at the same time
they are blessedly pursuing Him. I want to see in them the great joy of having
God yet always wanting Him.”
Challenge:
The joy of the Lord is contagious. Bring your joy into every circumstance so
everyone can be encouraged and share in your joy.
Prayer:
May my joy be in You everyday. Regardless of circumstances, You have
45 commanded me to have joy. May I have the strength to obey. Revive me!!
Sunday, May 14, 2023 (23 Iyar)  Omer Day 38

Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 3rd day of the 6th week and Day 38,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
What Can We Expect In Revival – Gifts Of The Spirit
Scripture:
1 Corinthians 12:7-10 But to each person is given the manifestation of
the Ruach for the benefit of all. For to one is given through the Ruach a
word of wisdom, to another a word of knowledge according to the
same Ruach, to another faith by the same Ruach, to another gifts of healings
by the one Ruach, to another workings of miracles, to another prophecy, to
another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another
the interpretation of tongues.
1 Corinthians 14:1, 12 Pursue love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, but
especially that you may prophesy.
Thought:
Cornelius Plantinga: “To place ourselves in range of God's choicest gifts, we
have to walk with God, work with God, lean on God, cling to God, come to
have the sense and feel of God, refer all things to God.”
Rick Warren: Your spiritual gifts were not given for your own benefit but for
the benefit of others, just as other people were given gifts for your benefit.
Challenge:
Since scripture says we are to pursue spiritual gifts, especially prophesy, ask
God for the gift of prophesy and wait with patience and persistence until you
receive it. Similarly, do that with all God’s gifts.
Prayer:
Lord, Your gifts are given out to encourage and benefit the Body of
Believers—please give me the gifts of the Holy Spirit, especially prophecy,
that I may be a blessing. Revive me!! 46

What Can We Expect In Revival – Sharing Explosion
Scripture:
Isaiah 6:8 Then I heard the voice of ADONAI saying: “Whom should I send,
and who will go for Us?” So I said, “Hineni. Send me.”
Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and whoever wins
souls is wise.
Isaiah 52:7 How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings
good news, who announces shalom, who brings good news of happiness, who
announces salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”
Matthew 9:37-38 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but
the workers are few. Therefore pray to the Lord of the harvest that He may
send out workers into His harvest field.”
Thought:
John Piper: “Love is the overflow of joy in God! It is not duty for duty's sake,
or right for right's sake. It is not a resolute abandoning of one's own good with
a view solely to the good of the other person. It is first a deeply satisfying
experience of the fullness of God's grace, and then a doubly satisfying
experience of sharing that grace with another person.”

Challenge:
As you develop conversation, listen for the needs of the person you are talking
with, fill those needs if possible, and then share the good news of Yeshua.
Prayer:
Lord, help me be an example of a believer so that when I share my faith, I have
credibility. May my actions and my words be all about Yeshua. Revive me!

Tuesday, May 16, 2023 (25 Iyar)  Omer Day 40

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 5th day of the 6th week and Day 40,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
What Can We Expect In Revival – Sharing Explosion 2
Scripture:
Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Ruach ha-Kodesh has come upon
you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and through all Judah, and
Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Matthew 4:19 And He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers
of men.”
Mark 16:15-18 He told them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the Good
News to every creature. He who believes and is immersed shall be saved, but
he who does not believe shall be condemned.
Thought:
God commands us to share our faith. He also supplies the power that will
accompany us so that we can succeed. He will protect us. He says we will drive
out demons, speak new languages, handle snakes without harm, and heal the
sick. God is taking every possible excuse away in order for us to share Yeshua.
Alistair Begg: “Jesus did not come to live as an example of how to die as a
martyr, but as a substitute, taking the place that we deserve in order that we
might enjoy what we don't deserve. This is good news. Let us tell all our friends!
Challenge:
Share your faith strategically and purposefully. Next time you have a waiter,
ask them if they have a prayer request since you pray before having your meal.
Prayer:
Avinu Malkeynu, our Father and our King, grant us the desire to share our
faith in You. Let us do it with excellence and forethought and see people come
to faith. Revive us!! 48
Wednesday, May 17, 2023 (26 Iyar)  Omer Day 41

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 6th day of the 6th week and Day 41,
I have counted the Omer.
Theme:
What Can We Expect In Revival – Intercession
Scripture:
1 Samuel 12:23 Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin
against ADONAI by ceasing to pray for you!
Hebrews 7:25 Therefore He is also able to save completely those who draw near
to God through Him, always living to make intercession for them.
Romans 8:34 Who is the one who condemns? It is Messiah, who died, and
moreover was raised, and is now at the right hand of God and who also
intercedes for us.
1 Timothy 2:1-4 Therefore, first of all I urge that requests, prayers, intercessions,
and thanksgiving be made on behalf of all people—for kings and all who are in
authority—so we may live a peaceful and quiet life in all godliness and
respectfulness. This is good and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior.
Thought:
As Yeshua intercedes for us to the Father, we need to intercede for many who
are in our lives: family, Shoresh David, community, USA, Israel, and the
Messianic movement. Also pray for the influencers of change in our culture:
government, business, media, entertainment, education, family, and people of
faith.
Challenge:
Make a list of people that you want to pray for. If your list is too long, divide
the list into 7 days of prayer, so that you pray for each person at least once a
week. There might be some people you feel more strongly about, pray for them
every day.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to be an intercessor. Pour out on me compassion and faith in
49 order to make praying for others a priority. Revive me!!
Thursday, May 18, 2023 (27 Iyar)  Omer Day 42

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 7th day of the 6th week and Day 42,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
What Can We Expect In Revival – Worship
Scripture:
Genesis 24:48 I bowed down and worshipped ADONAI and blessed ADONAI,
the God of my master Abraham
Psalm 99:5 Exalt ADONAI our God and worship at His footstool: holy is He.
Revelation 5:14 And the four living creatures kept saying, “Amen!” And the
elders fell down and worshiped.
Thought:
“Worship is honoring the Lord with extravagant love and with extreme
submission. It is an active response to the character, words and actions of
God, initiated by His revelation and enabled by His redemption, whereby
the mind is transformed, the heart is renewed and actions are surrendered,
all in accordance with His will and in order to declare His infinite
worthiness.” (Internet - Theopedia)
Challenge:
Reading the thought above challenges our concept of worship as we apply it
to our heart and mind. Consider your worship. Is it sufficient for the Lord?
When you worship, are you showing God extravagant love? What are you
declaring when you worship the Lord?
Prayer:
Lord, I begin with repentance, as I am sure I am not sharing extravagant
love with You. I pray for a renewal of my heart in order to worship You
extravagantly. I surrender my insecurities and the walls that I have put up.
Please help me to overcome all that is in the way. May I be sure to do my
part in showing You my sincere love for You. Revive me!! 50
Friday, May 19, 2023 (28 Iyar)  Omer Day 43

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 1st day of the 7th week and Day 43,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
What Can We Expect In Revival – Fruit Of The Spirit
Scripture:
Galatians 5:22-24 But the fruit of the Ruach is love, joy, peace, patience,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—against such
things there is no law. Now those who belong to Messiah have crucified the
flesh with its passions and desires.
Hebrews 12:11 Now all discipline seems painful at the moment—not joyful.
But later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been
trained by it.
Thought:
Rick Warren: “God develops the fruit of the Spirit in your life by allowing
you to experience circumstances in which you're tempted to express the
exact opposite quality. Character development always involves a choice, and
temptation provides that opportunity.”
Watchman Nee: “If we know that the aim of the Holy Spirit is to lead man
to the place of self-control, we shall not fall into passivity but shall make
good progress in spiritual life. "The fruit of the Spirit is self-control"
Challenge:
Self-control usually doesn’t work without the power of God’s Spirit giving
us the strength and the resolve to accomplish it. Each fruit needs self-
control in order to be successful. When we are engaged in revival, we will
see the improvement of the fruits of the Spirit in our lives.
Prayer:
Father, the list of the fruits are daunting and so I ask You Lord to
51 help me, because l can’t do this without You. Please revive me!!
Saturday, May 20, 2023 (29 Iyar)  Omer Day 44

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 2nd day of the 7th week and Day 44,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
What Can We Expect In Revival – A Spiritual Battle
Scripture:
Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against you will prosper and you will condemn
every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of ADONAI’s
servants—their vindication is from Me.” It is a declaration of ADONAI.
Ephesians 6:10-13a Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put
on the full armor of God, so that you are able to stand against the schemes of the
devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers,
against the powers, against the worldly forces of this darkness, and against the
spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full
armor of God...
2 Kings 6:17 Then Elisha prayed and said, “ADONAI, please open his eyes that he
may see.” Then ADONAI opened the eyes of the young man and he saw, and
behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
Thought:
Martin Luther: “If the devil were wise enough and would stand by in silence and
let the Gospel be preached, he would suffer less harm. For when there is
no battle for the Gospel it rusts and it finds no cause and no occasion to show its
vigor and power. Therefore, nothing better can befall the Gospel than that the
world should fight it with force and cunning.”
Challenge:
Do you believe there is a spiritual battle? If yes, what are you doing about it? Do
you believe your prayer makes a difference? Have you joined God’s army?
Prayer:
Lord, I am praying for prayer warriors—people who hear God’s call and then say
“hineini”, hear I am! I am ready to serve in Your army with my weapon of
prayer! Will others join me? Lord, revive us!! 52
Sunday, May 21, 2023 (1 Sivan)  Omer Day 45

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 3rd day of the 7th week and Day 45,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
What Can We Expect In Revival – A Spiritual Battle 2
Scripture:
2 Corinthians 10:3-6 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage war
according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly but
powerful through God for the tearing down of strongholds. We are tearing
down false arguments and every high-minded thing that exalts itself against the
knowledge of God. We are taking every thought captive to the obedience of
Messiah—ready to punish all disobedience, whenever your obedience is complete.
2 Timothy 2:3-4 Suffer hardship with me, as a good soldier of Messiah Yeshua.
No one serving as a soldier entangles himself in the activities of everyday life, so
that he might please the one who enlisted him.
Thought:
William Tiptaft: “Deliver us from everything that may entangle our affections
and harden our hearts.”
John Owen: “If we do not abide in prayer, we will abide in temptation. Let this
be one aspect of our daily intercession: "God, preserve my soul, and keep my
heart and all its ways so that I will not be entangled." When this is true in our
lives, a passing temptation will not overcome us.
Challenge:
When we get entangled in the world, we are soldiers in retirement. We are out
of the army and no longer in the battle. The world distracts us from our focus
on the Lord and His Spirit. Whatever your distraction is, are you able to stop it
and give God a solid hour each day? Reenlist!
Prayer:
Lord, I want to be a warrior for You. I commit to one hour a day with You,
because I know You have called me to fight this battle. Revive me!!
53
Monday, May 22, 2023 (2 Sivan)  Omer Day 46

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 4th day of the 7th week and Day 46,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
What Can We Expect In Revival – Exceptional Praise
Scripture:
Psalm 92:2-3 It is good to praise ADONAI and to make music to Your
Name, Elyon, to declare Your love in the morning and Your faithfulness
at night
Psalm 149:2-3 Let Israel rejoice in its Maker. Let the children of Zion be
glad in their King. Let them praise His Name with dancing. Let them
sing praises to Him with tambourine and harp.
Hebrews 13:15 Through Yeshua then, let us continually offer up to God
a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips giving thanks to His name.
Psalm 117:1-2 Praise ADONAI, all you nations! Glorify Him, all you
peoples. For great is His lovingkindness toward us, and ADONAI’s truth
endures forever. Halleluyah!
Thought:
Praising God is for our benefit, not His. When we praise Him, we are
directing ourselves to focus on Him rather than ourselves. We are to
continually offer praises to the Lord because it should not be based on
how we feel, or our circumstances, but it should be based on who He is
and how we esteem Him.
Challenge:
Rejoice always and continually praise Him are similar concepts. Even
if it is a sacrifice, just make a decision to do it. When something
upsets you, see if you can override it with rejoicing in, and praising
God.

Tuesday, May 23, 2023 (3 Sivan)  Omer Day 47

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 5th day of the 7th week and Day 47,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
What Can We Expect In Revival – Energy For The Lord
Scripture:
Isaiah 40:30-31 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and
fall, but they who wait for ADONAI will renew their strength. They will soar up
with wings as eagles. They will run, and not grow weary. They will walk, and not
be faint.
Galatians 6:9 So let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap
if we don’t give up.
1 Corinthians 15:57-58 But thanks be to God, who keeps giving us the victory
through our Lord Yeshua the Messiah! Therefore, my dearly loved brethren, be
steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord—because you
know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
Thought:
Charles Spurgeon: “I would go to the deeps a hundred times to cheer a downcast
spirit. It is good for me to have been afflicted, that I might know how to speak a
word in season to one that is weary.”
Charles Stanley: “We can be tired, weary and emotionally distraught, but after
spending time alone with God, we find that He injects into our bodies energy,
power and strength.”
Challenge:
It is difficult to be energized for the Lord, when you are tired, weary,
disappointed, discouraged or angry. However, that is your challenge.
Prayer:
Lord, it is difficult to come to You in times of weariness or discouragement.
However, I want to be an overcomer and stand firm. Revive me!!

Wednesday, May 24, 2023 (4 Sivan)  Omer Day 48

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 6th day of the 7th week and Day 48,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
What Can We Expect In Revival – Authority
Scripture:
Luke 10:19 Behold, I have given you authority to trample upon serpents and
scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
Matthew 28:18-20 And Yeshua came up to them and spoke to them, saying,
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go therefore
and make disciples of all nations, immersing them in the name of the Father
and the Son and the Ruach ha-Kodesh, teaching them to observe all I have
commanded you. And remember! I am with you always, even to the end of
the age.”
Thought:
God wants us to pray in faith and see His power manifested in our lives, our
family and friends. Though we have been given authority in various areas,
Know that all authority comes from God. Without Him, we have nothing.
Andrew Murray: “Time spent in prayer will yield more than that given to work.
Prayer alone gives work its worth and its success. Prayer opens the way for God
Himself to do His work in us and through us. Let our chief work as God's
messengers be intercession; in it we secure the presence and power of God to go
with us.”
Challenge:
Do you know that in Yeshua, you have authority? Today, use your power
and authority as you get on your knees and pray!
Prayer:
Adonai, may Your power and authority be evident in my life. Your words do
not return void. Through You, I have authority! Revive me!
56
Thursday, May 25, 2023 (5 Sivan)  Omer Day 49

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 7th day of the 7th week and Day 49,
I have counted the Omer.

Theme:
We Are Heirs Of God’s Promises
Scripture:
Romans 4:13 For the promise to Abraham or to his seed—to become heir of the
world—was not through law, but through the righteousness based on trust.
Galatians 3:28-29 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor
free, there is neither male nor female—for you are all one in Messiah Yeshua.
And if you belong to Messiah, then you are Abraham’s seed—heirs according
to the promise.
Thought:
John Bunyan: “Faith receiveth the promise, embraceth it, and comforteth the
soul unspeakably with it. Faith is so great an artist in arguing and reasoning
with the soul, that it will bring over the hardest heart that it hath to deal
with. It will bring to my remembrance at once, both my vileness against God,
and his goodness towards me; it will show me, that though I deserve not to
breathe in the air, yet that God will have me an heir of glory.”
Thomas Watson: “A man adopts one for his son and heir that does not at all
resemble him; but whosoever God adopts for His child is like Him; he not
only bears His heavenly Father's name, but His image (Col. 3:10)”.
Challenge:
To be revived you must know who you are in the Lord. You are no longer a
slave. You are a child of God and an heir to all His promises.
Prayer:
Lord, let me see me the way You see me. I come against every insecurity and
lack of faith in the name of Yeshua, and hold on to Your promises. Revive me!!
57
Friday, May 26, 2023 (6 Sivan)  Omer Day 50

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech ha-o-lam,

a-sher kid-sha-nu b’-mitz-vo-tav v’-tzi-va-nu al s’-fi-rat ha-o-mer.
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set us
apart by Your commandments and has commanded us to count the Omer.

Today is the 50th day, and I have counted the Omer!

Baruch HaShem, it is Shavuot!

Theme:
We Are Overcomers—We Are Revived
Scripture:
Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word
of their testimony, and they did not love their lives even in the face of death.
John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have
shalom. In the world you will have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome
the world!”
1 John 4:4 You are from God, children, and you have overcome them,
because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we have such a great cloud of witnesses
surrounding us, let us also get rid of every weight and entangling sin. Let us
run with endurance the race set before us…
Thought:
R.A. Torrey: “The reason why many fail in battle is because they wait until the
hour of battle. The reason why others succeed is because they have gained their
victory on their knees long before the battle came. Anticipate your battles; fight
them on your knees before temptation comes, and you will always have victory.”
Challenge:
Our battle is a spiritual battle. We win if we endure. Our victory is in
Yeshua. Let us encourage everyone. When we seek to be revived, we will be
revived. Revival is ours in Yeshua!
Prayer:
Father, we proclaim, “thank You for the victory!! We overcome because we
have trusted and obeyed You. As we walk with You daily, cover us with the
blood of Messiah, fill us with the power of Your Spirit, and direct us so that
we are ordained and directed by You. We love You. We are revived!!! 58
