DAY 6 - FRIDAY

NURSERY RHYMES - Read to your child line per line in

rhythm until they can remember. Repeat rhymes every day.

Jack and Jill

BY MOTHER GOOSE

Jack and Jill went up the hill

To fetch a pail of water;
Jack fell down and broke his crown,
and Jill came tumbling after.

Up Jack got, and home did trot,

As fast as he could caper,
Went to bed to mend his head
With vinegar and brown paper.

DAY 6 - FRIDAY

Folding Exercises - Flower folding

To do this craft,
you will need some
coloured paper. Cut the A4 coloured paper
into half.

Get 1 of these half paper and start folding

on the short end. Try to make smaller folds
so that you can have a better looking
flower. Then fold the other half.

Tie the two folded paper in the middle

together and glue the loose ends. Hold the
ends for a few seconds and let the glue to
dry.

Cut small circles and glue on the centre

of the flowers. Make at least 3 or 4
flowers. You can hang them onto a
hanger to make a mobile, paste them
on an A3 paper, or stick each flower
on a straw or chopstick.
DAY 6 - FRIDAY

READING - SIGHT CARDS

Print and cut these cards individually. Put them in a stack

and invite your child to read them with you. As you read the
cards one at a time, make sure to say the word slowly and
clearly for about 3 to 4 times before you go to the next
card. Let your child repeat after you in saying the word.
Make sure you give only a maximum of 6 cards each time you
play this activity with your child. Let your child repeat
reading the cards many times over again. If he has learnt
the 1st set of 6 cards, at another time give him another set
of 6 cards and do the same procedure. Make sure you
pronounce the words correctly.

Video Activity

For this first video activity, get your child ready to perform
solat with his or her other siblings or family members at
home. If possible, let the boys wear a kopia and kain
pelekat, while the girls wear their telekung. Then take a
video of them performing their solat. It does not have to be
a video of the entire solat, just a snippet of their solat.
Then send this video to the class teacher so that the
children can all have a view of their classmates doing their
solat when they go back to school. We are sure that the
student who does not solat regularly will be enticed to solat
as well when they see the videos. In shaa Allah, this activity
will re-enforce the children’s avid Islamic practices.
