City of Balanga Wetland & Nature Park

Credit the local government for building a sanctuary for these birds
and protecting them from being hunted and killed. The site is not only
an alley but a haven for these creatures. Every year, they hold the
Ibong Dayo Festival where in people celebrate and give admiration to
our migratory birds Structures have been built for visitors to have a
safe and meaningful encounter with the birds – several view decks and
picnic huts Birds feed early in the morning and late in the afternoon
(near sunset).

Bataan World War II Museum


The Bataan World War II Museum is uniquely but strategically located
at the back of Balanga Elementary School. The museum was built as
a tribute to our fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in 1942.
It showcases tragic tidbits about the mentioned war, specially the
horrendous Bataan Death March where thousands of Filipino and
American soldiers perished.

The Bunker
The modern interior design symbolizes the rise and progress of Bataan
from then on. This building is the result of the Public-Private
Partnership. Not a single centavo from the provincial government
coffers was spent during the construction of this majestic structure.

At the entrance of the seven-storey building is a replica of an armored
tank used by Filipino and American soldiers during World War II.
The architect of the building, Architect Henry Mayuga, designed “The
Bunker” to commemorate the patriotism of our heroic veterans during
World War II. Replica of an armored tank used by the Filipino and
American soldiers is displayed at the entrance of the building.

Bataan Tourism Center


Bataan Tourism Center is the first one-stop tourism center in the
Philippines and was constructed through the efforts of then Governor
Enrique T. Garcia Jr., Congressman Albert S. Garcia, Bataan Tourism
Council Foundation Inc. and the Philippine Tourism Authority.
There are a lot of local delicacies you can grab for snacks or take home
for your loved ones!
Local culture and values are also reflected in the local crafts.
It houses the Provincial Tourism Office, an Exhibit Hall, and an Audio
Visual Room. It also has the Pasalubong Center showcasing the finest
products made by the locals, impressive handicrafts, and delightful
delicacies that will surely be a memorable souvenir for every tourist
visiting Bataan.
