Reflection
We Filipinos do really love to sing. Singing has become part of our system. Whenever
there are occasions or just even on a normal day, we Filipinos keep on singing. In my personal
opinion, singing is one way of expressing how I feel. I listen to music depending on my mood. I
also sing a lot especially when I’m inside the bathroom or on the toilet. There are different
genres of songs that people sing according to what they feel at that moment, which I can relate to
a lot.
Last February 23, 2023, our class had a singing activity. And days before that our
professor informed us that we have to prepare a song that expresses how we feel on that day. And
we must not tell anyone what our moods are and just let the audience understand the message of
the song so that they’ll be able to know what emotion we are expressing. At that time, I got
pressured and confused about what song should I sing because just in a minute my mood changes
frequently. My mood depends on what was happening in my environment. But the night before
the performance I relaxed and took a deep breath so that I could make up my mind. That’s why I
decided to sing “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz, I chose this not to dedicate to a human being. But for
the music, because I love to sing a lot so it means to me that no matter what my emotions are the
music can relate to any of it so “I’m Yours Music”.
