OBJECTIVE

This activity comprises of different survey questionnaires which are necessary to assess the family health status of family Aonuevo. This aims for the following purposes:

To be able to assess the overall status of the family especially in terms of health To identify existing and pre-existing problems experienced by the family, be it nursing problems or health problems

To be able to develop a nursing care plan and be able to build up an appropriate intervention

To help the family in resolving their problems in terms of appropriate nursing interventions

To alleviate the family s problem by counseling and health education

3. General family relationship/dynamics y Aonuevo family has a strong tie in their relationship with each other. The father shows good perspective in life that mainly benefited their way of living even they are in adversary. The family is very hospitable and friendly to people.

The father is the one who makes decision among the family. If the family or a member of family is going to make a decision, the final decision depends on what the father says.

Raquel Aonuevo, the 2nd daughter in the family is working as a handicraft vendor in Legazpi Terminal. The father and mother don t have a occupation. They are staying in their house to look after their children. The rest of the children are not working and has stop studying, they are dependent to their parents.

b. Adequacy to meet basic necessities.

The father stated that they can meet the basic needs of their family but there are times that they are not capable of doing so especially if their daughter has not receive a good salary from her job. Only one has an occupation in their family so they have constraints in financing the basic needs of the family like food, clothing, etc.

4. Relationship of the family to larger community y The family has a good relationship among their neighbors and kabarangay. The family is also participating in activities or seminar in the health center of Buyuan and was able to have access in health care.

B. House and Environment 1. Housing y The size of house of the family is not enough for 11 family members occupying it. The house is made up of hallow blocks and the roof of wood and sim. Their house is strong enough as what the structures were made. They only have 2 rooms for sleeping.

The house in to big but it is organized. The house has adequate ventilation because it has 3 windows. Their kitchen is not well organized. They use woods on cooking.

They have electricity but only the light consumes for it because they don t have aplliances.

Water supply o They get their water in a bubon or a deep well. They use it for drinking, washing, cooking and bathing.

Toilet facility o Their toilet is water-sealed

Garbage Disposal o They don t segregate garbage. It is not collected as stated by the father. So they burn their garbage.
