MY ANSWER:
1. The people are the symbolism used in the cartoon analysis. the manner in which people send
and receive information when they communicate.
2. This cartoon's theme, in my opinion, is that technological advancements make people lazy. We
grow sluggish as a result of evolution and inventions made for our convenience. These days,
we constantly want everything prepared.
3. Yes, I agree with the message of the cartoon based on my understanding about it. Simply
because I can experience it myself as I use these innovations for convenience, it can also make
me lack or be behind on my tasks.

The idea that "the medium is the message" holds true states that content and medium are
intertwined; as a result, the fundamental message or effect of something resides not in the
information it provides, but in the way it is transmitted. According to Marshall Mcluhan, the
format or channel via which we communicate is more significant than the content of our
messages.

Each technology we now use was initially developed and moulded by us, the human race.
Technology was developed to simplify everyone's lives. Yet today, technology is what molds us.
Most of us rely on it to sustain our lives. These days, technology is a part of everything we do.
3. How will you describe media in the Philippines using the normative theories of the
press?
The media in the Philippines are best described by the "Social Responsibility" theory, which is a
normative theory of the press. The media should assume responsibility because it is their duty
and it would be detrimental to them to report on virtually every detail that is not necessary and
appropriate.
