Dear Hiring Director,

As a motivated and dedicated individual, I have recently received my Bachelor’s of

Science in Nursing and Integrative Health from the University of Arizona in May 2023. I am
excited to be applying to this position of New Grad RN Surgical Trauma Full Time Days at
Carondelet St. Joseph’s because I believe that I am ready to take on the responsibilities that I
have been training for for the past 4 years as a student. I value teamwork, cultural diversity,
communication, collaboration and time management. These strengths alongside my educational
achievements motivated me to apply for this position.
For the past 2 years that I have been in the Nursing program, I worked alongside
experienced nurses to put my education into practice and strengthen my skills during clinical
rotations. I have worked alongside experienced registered nurses in the units of pediatrics,
hospice, long term care, acute and critical care and psychiatry. I have worked over 200 hours in
these units and I continue to be a part of a team at Dignity Health, working as a float pool student
nurse. At these clinical rotations, I have learned an immense amount in the field of nursing
including bedside manner, medication administration, IV line care and assessment, disease
processes, symptom management, delegating tasks, time management and tips for organization,
among others which will be beneficial in my position as a new grad RN by guiding how I
provide patient care.
I believe that I am a worthy candidate for this position of surgical trauma new grad at
Carondelet St. Joseph’s due to my experience in the clinical setting, my ability to work alongside
team members, my communication skills and my eagerness to learn. I look forward to meeting
with you and discussing my attributes to this position.
