ABSTRACT

This attachment report outlines the skills and experiences acquired while on industrial
attachment as Health, Safety and Environment Officer at AMAX Company Limited for
the award of BSc Environmental and Safety between 27 th June to 8th of July 2022. This
report also outlines various aspect of this period such as; the history of AMAX company
Limited, their objectives and mission, evaluation of these objectives and recommendations
to archive them, various duties performed, a profile of skills gained and experience
archived at AMAX as an industrial attachment trainee.
DEDICATION

I dedicate this report the Almighty God, for the protection and opportunity he always
avails for me. I also dedicate this work to my parent (Mr. and Mrs. Nketsiah), Mr. Michael
Yeboah and all AMAX safety Officers.

All glory goes to God for his abundant love. My sincere appreciation goes to the
University of Mines and Technology (Tarkwa); who prepared me the opportunity to
practicalised my knowledge acquired whiles in school. I also extend my candid gratitude
to the project manager of AMAX (Mr. Lambert …), HSE superintendent (Mr. Alfred
Egyir), Senior HR (Madam Winifred Nketsiah), Mr. Michael Yeboah and all persons at
AMAX administration for their crucial efforts and time during my stay at the company
and also their great marvelous teachings, I really learnt a lot during this short period.
