Scope and limitation

The scope and limitation of this only applies to a specific good

which is coconut. This study will focus on coconut grating and meat
extracting process through an improvised machine. As mentioned in
the background of the research, the traditional method of extraction
from coconut is tedious, time consuming and unsafe.
In current practices on the market today, in order to produce
coconut milk, a separate machines is used for grating coconut meat and
extracting coconut milk. In this study, the two process will be
integrated into a single frame, upgrade and make new type of machines
for time convenience, efficiency, safety and easy access.
The scope of the study will revolve around grating and extracting
the coconut from the improvised machine. The grating machine at the
higher part is powered by a 0.25hp electric motor, 220V AC drive, at
3450 rpm, mounted by a 6cm diameter blade, with a basin guard while
the extracting machine is powered by a 3 tons scissor press supported
by a 100 watts electric motor, 12V DC drive and the process takes place
at extraction chamber that is 15cm cube-shaped. All machines is
mounted, fixed at 50cm X 50cm X 50cm frame. The extraction chamber
can accommodate 3-5 pairs of coconut husked at a time. The straining
of coconut milk is not included in the system. However, the one who is
operating the machine can the food grade stainless as an extraction
chamber.
