compliance.
3. What is the importance of Philippine Electrical Code?
- The primary purpose of the Philippine Electrical Code is to minimize the risk of
electricity as a source of electric shock and as a potential ignition source of fires and
explosions; and to minimize the propagation of fire and explosions due to electrical
installations
4. Is know as the Philippine Electrical Code 2017?
- The new edition of the PEC 2017 was based on the 2017 National Electrical Code.
The primary objective of the code is to establish basic materials quality and electrical

signaling and for other purposes
5. What is the purpose of Electrical Code?
- The National Electrical Code® (also known as the NEC®) is an adoptable standard
for the safe installation of electrical equipment and wiring, and establishes the basis
for electrical safety in industrial, commercial, and residential buildings.

needed if the installation method is subjected to physical damage as determined by
the authority having jurisdiction.
9. What is code for electrical outlet height?
- Electrical receptacle outlets on branch circuits of 30 amperes or less and
communication system receptacles shall be located no more than 48 inches (1219
