Strand: Creativity, Topic: Expression of Ideas and Feelings Through the Arts, Standard: Demonstrate an awareness of possibilities when creating
something with a variety of media.
Pre-assessment of current knowledge: The teacher will ask the students what they know about a play or a performance. The teacher will write down
everything that the students say. This will let the teacher know if the students are familiar with knowing what a play is or creating a play.

during the play and direct the students where to go. students will all color on it to make the straw house,
brick house, and stick house.
6. The students will then practice their parts in the play.
The teacher will be reading the story out loud while
the students who play a character act out what the
character is doing in the background. The students
who are not a character will have shakers and small
drums that they will play when the wolf blows down
each house.
7. Lastly, the students will put on the small play for the
other kindergarten classes.
The story “The Three Little Pigs,” the cardboard for the
setting, and the musical instruments (drums and shakers).
Adult Roles:
The main teacher will read the book to the students, observe
while the students are creating the houses for the setting,
and read the story out loud while the students are
performing it. The aid in the classroom will assist children
with creating the houses for the setting. The aid will also
help students with understanding what they are doing for
their part in the play.
