suggestions I had mentioned. She sought input from not
only her mentor teacher (me), but her college peers,
friends and family- and truly ensure a successful lesson.

STRENGTHS IN WORK:
Marissa Cole is a natural teacher. She has strengths in every category. I am a veteran teacher and have been mentoring new
teachers, field placements, and student teachers for over a decade. In all of my time mentoring, I have never met a teacher (let
alone a student teacher) so completely capable. Marissa is a natural and an expert not only in the content area, but in literacy
and educational strategies. I am so honored to have had the opportunity to work with Marissa as her passion and excitement for
education is so refreshing. However, I am absolutely floored by her natural and professional demeanor, willingness to take and
apply suggestions, and her knowledge of the content, theories, and strategies. The school district wherein she lands her student
internship as well as the district that offers her a job- are incredibly lucky!

SUGGESTIONS FOR GROWTH:
The only suggestion that I can offer is to work on building confidence, as Marissa is a natural and among the brightest I have
ever had the opportunity to work with, but might not yet recognize that in herself.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
I am so incredibly impressed by Marissa Cole. This is the ONE and only time I have ever given any placement a perfect score;
however, Ms. Cole is the utmost deserving of this perfect evaluation as she has demonstrated nothing less than perfection in her
placement. I hope to keep in touch as I am excited to see how far she will go and the countless lives she will positively impact
along the way. Wishing you all the best, Marissa!
