Food Verses

 “He has only forbidden you carrion, blood, pig’s meat, and animals over which any name
other than God’s has been invoked. But if anyone is forced to eat such things by hunger,
rather than desire or excess, he commits no sin: God is most merciful and forgiving.”
(Baqarah)

Fasting & prayer Verses

 “You who believe, fasting is prescribed for you, as it was prescribed for those before you,
so that you may be mindful of God.” (Baqarah)
 Establish Prayer and dispense Zakah (the Purifying Alms)59 and bow in worship with
those who bow(2:43) 
 seek assistance through patience and prayer; and most surely it is a hard thing, except for
the humble ones(2:45)
 . 59. Prayer and Purifying Alms (Zakah) have always been among the most important
pillars of the Islamic faith. Like other Prophets, the Prophets of Israel laid great stress
upon them.
 ˹They are˺ those who establish prayer and donate from what We have provided for them.
It is they who are the true believers. They will have elevated ranks, forgiveness, and an
honourable provision from their Lord.(Al-anfaal) (8:3-4)
 “What has landed you in Hell?” They will reply, “We were not of those who prayed,(Al-
Mudatthir)(74:42-43)
 ˹O believers!˺ Always turn to Him ˹in repentance˺, be mindful of Him, and establish
prayers. And do not be polytheists—(Al-Rum)(30:31)
 O believers! Seek comfort in patience and prayer. Allah is truly with those who are
patient.(2:153)

Zakat Verses
 ” Those who spend their wealth in God’s cause, and do not follow their spending with
reminders of their benevolence or hurtful words, will have their rewards with their Lord:
no fear for them, nor will they grieve.” (Baqarah)
 “If you give charity openly, it is good, but if you keep it secret and give to the needy in
private, that is better for you, and it will atone for some of your bad deeds: God is well
aware of all that you do.” (Baqarah)
 Those who give, out of their own possessions, by night and by day, in private and in
public, will have their reward with their Lord: no fear for them, nor will they grieve.
 Give orphans their property, do not replace [their] good things with bad, and do not
consume their property with your own- a great sin.

Jihad Verses
 “Fight in God’s cause against those who fight you, but do not overstep the limits: God
does not love those who overstep the limits.” (Baqarah)
 “Fight them until there is no more persecution, and worship is devoted to God. If they
cease hostilities, there can be no [further] hostility, except towards aggressors.” (Baqarah)
 “You have already seen a sign in the two armies that met in battle, one fighting for God’s
cause and the other made up of disbelievers. With their own eyes [the former] saw [the
latter] to be twice their number, but God helps whoever He will. There truly is a lesson in
this for all with eyes to see.” (Imran)
 Those who sell their faith for disbelief will not harm God in any way; agonizing torment
awaits them.
 Let those of you who are willing to trade the life of this world for the life to come, fight
in God’s way. To anyone who fights in God’s way, whether killed or victorious, We shall
give a great reward.
 When you [believers] are travelling in the land, you will not be blamed for shortening
your prayers, if you fear the disbelievers may harm you: they are your sworn enemies.
(Nisa)

Gambling and Intoxicants

 They ask you [Prophet] about intoxicants and gambling: say, ‘There is great sin in both,
and some benefit for people: the sin is greater than the benefit.’ (Baqarah)

Women Verses
 Your wives are your fields, so go into your fields whichever way you like, and send
[something good] ahead for yourselves. Be mindful of God: remember that you will meet
Him.’ [Prophet], give good news to the believers. (Baqarah)
 Their Lord has answered them: ‘I will not allow the deeds of any one of you to be lost,
whether you are male or female, each is like the other [in rewards]. (Imran)
 If any of you die and leave widows, the widows should wait for four months and ten
nights before remarrying. When they have completed this set time, you will not be
blamed for anything they may reasonably choose to do with themselves. God is fully
aware of what you do. (Baqarah)
 Call in two men as witnesses. If two men are not there, then call one man and two women
out of those you approve as witnesses, so that if one of the two women should forget the
other can remind her.
 If you fear that you will not deal fairly with orphan girls, you may marry whichever
[other] women seem good to you, two, three, or four. If you fear that you cannot be
equitable [to them], then marry only one, or your slave(s): that is more likely to make you
avoid bias.
 Men shall have a share in what their parents and closest relatives leave, and women shall
have a share in what their parents and closest relatives leave, whether the legacy be small
or large: this is ordained by God.

 Men are in charge of women by [right of] what Allah has given one over the other and
what they spend [for maintenance] from their wealth. So righteous women are devoutly
obedient, guarding in [the husband's] absence what Allah would have them guard. But
those [wives] from whom you fear arrogance - [first] advise them; [then if they persist],
forsake them in bed; and [finally], strike them. But if they obey you [once more], seek no
means against them. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted and Grand.

Importance of the Prophet(PBUH)

 These are the revelations of God which We recite to you [Muhammad] with the truth, and
you truly are one of the messengers. (Baqarah)

Ayat-ul-Kursi

 God: there is no god but Him, the Ever Living, the Ever Watchful.Neither slumber nor
sleep overtakes Him. All that is in the heavens and in the earth belongs to Him. Who is
there that can intercede with Him except by His leave? He knows what is before them
and what is behind them, but they do not comprehend any of His knowledge except what
He wills. His throne extends over the heavens and the earth; it does not weary Him to
preserve them both. He is the Most High, the Tremendous. (Baqarah)

Minorities

 There is no compulsion in religion: true guidance has become distinct from error, so
whoever rejects false gods and believes in God has grasped the firmest hand-hold, one
that will never break. God is all hearing and all knowing. (Baqarah)
Political System

 Consult with them about matters, then, when you have decided on a course of action, put
your trust in God: God loves those who put their trust in Him. (Imran)
 You who believe, obey God and the Messenger, and those in authority among you.
(Imran)
