B. Application:

8. Find two numbers whose sum is 10, and the sum of whose
squares is a minimum.

From the roof top of a 100-m building, a ball is thrown verically
upward with a velocity 0f 30m/s.

Find:
9. Time required to reach the highest point.
10. Maximum height attained.
11. Time when the ball reaches 5m above the ground on its
way down.
