Financial Performance: The Company booked net profit at


IDR78.504 million in 2008, decreased sharply from IDR22.921
billion booked in 2007.
Brief History: The company began its production in 1992
with an installed capacity of 20,000 tons of low voltage electri-
cal cable, 317 Km of medium voltage electrical cable, 4,118 Km
of optic fibre and 2.9 million single core kilometers (SCKM) of
telecommunications cable. In 1993, the company raised capac-
ity for low voltage electrical cables to 26,000 tons and up to
634 Km for medium voltage cables. The company has a techni-
cal assistant agreement with Fujika Ltd, Japan. Around 69% of
the company’s production is used in state owned companies,
namely PT PLN and PT Telkom. The company is now able to
produce several types of export-quality cable that can com-
pete on the international market with similar products made
in several other countries. In 1995-1996, the company focused
on marketing its products to meet domestic demand. How-
ever, since 1997, 40% of all cable produced by the company has
been exported. Over the past three years, these products have
penetrated several overseas markets, including the Philippines,
Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, Yemen, UEA, Sri Lanka,
South Africa, the United States, Japan, Myanmar, India, Pakistan
and Bangladesh.

The Company booked consolidat-
ed net profit of IDR3.987 billion in 2008, falling from IDR5.314
billion net profit in 2007.
Brief History:��������������������������������������������
In 1988, a machine was installed for produc-
ing medium voltage cable. In 1990 the company succeeded in
making its own twisting machine in order to overcome a bot-
tleneck in production, and in 1990-1991 a foam-skin extruder,
quad ding machine, drum twister and large extruder machine
were added to the production line. In 1994 the company in-
stalled capacity is 26,000 ton of power cables and 1,330,000
kilometer pair of telephone cables per annum. Almost all raw
materials, such as polyethylene, cross link polyethylene and
heat shrinkable material tubes are imported. In June 1995 the
company raised US$ 40 million revolving credit, arranged by
the Chase Investment Bank (Singapore) Ltd. In the same month
the company has offered 28 million shares in a right issue at 1:1
with a price of Rp 1,000 per share. 62% of the fund raised will
be used to buy a machine, 17% to finance building construction,
13% to increase working capital, and the rest to finance other
facilities.

Financial Performance: In 2008, The Company recorded


consolidated net profit of IDR26.645 billion or slightly higher
than IDR25.634 billion which the company had in 2007.
Brief History: PT. GT Kabel Indonesia is one of the larg-
est telecommunications and power cable producer. It is owned
53% by Gadjah Tunggal Group. It was established in 1972 by
Electro GmbH of Germany (today known as Alcatel Kabelmet-
al) and PT Gunung Ngadeg Djaya.

dated net profit at IDR97.687 billion in 2008, soaring from
IDR77.466 billion in 2007. The net profit rose following the
net sales that increased from IDR1.590 trillion to IDR1.645 tril-
lion.
Brief History: Established in 1981, the company received
working capital loans from the World Bank (IBRD), the Asian
Development Bank (ADB), and Kuwait. The company products
control 15.45% of domestic market, and they are also exported
to the Philippines and Singapore. The company factory is lo-
cated in Tanggerang, West Java on site of 10.3 Ha.

Financial Performance: The Company booked consoli-


dated net profit at IDR11.219 billion in 2008, stumbling from
IDR54.209 billion in 2007. The net profit decrease following
the other expenses which climbed up from IDR7.171 billion to
IDR40.017 billion.
Brief History: Founded in 1970, the company is a major-
ity shareholder of three companies, producing the main materi-
als used in manufacturing cable: PT Tembaga Mulia Semanan
with 27.22% shares, PT Supreme Alurodin with 61% shares, and
PT Setia Pratama Lestari Pelletizing with 100% shares. In 1994,
the company obtained ISO 9002 certification for its production
of electrical and telephones cables. The entire production is
marketed under the Supreme trademark, in which the company
controls a 30% share of domestic market. The company prod-
ucts are also exported to Iran, Australia, and Singapore.

net profit of IDR5.238 billion, or stumbling down compared to
2007 profit of IDR53.701 billion.
Brief History: PT Voksel Electric Tbk. (“the Compa-
ny’) was established in Jakarta on April 19, 1971. Since 1989,
the Company became a foreign capital investment through a
joint venture agreement with Showa Electric Wire & Cable
Co. Ltd Japan (“Showa’). In concurrent with its aggressive
growth strategy, the Company issued its initial public offer-
ing in the Jakarta and Surabaya Stock Exchanges on Decem-
ber 20th 1990. Through consistent hard work and dedica-
tion from all management and employees, the Company soon
positioned itself as one of the leading cable manufacturers in
Indonesia. The Company’s core businesses include manufac-
turing of power, telecommunication and fiber optics cables.
Through its continuous pursuit for quality excellence, the Com-
pany was awarded numerous international quality certificates,
such as ISO 9002:1994 year 1995, ISO 9001:1994 year 1999
and ISO 9001:2000 year 2003 by SGS  Yarsley International
