The document discusses the implementation of OSPF, simple VLANs, VLAN trunking protocols, and spanning tree in Cisco networks. It provides details on VLAN trunking protocol for synchronizing VLAN information across switches, how to set up a simple VLAN, how spanning tree selects root bridges and designated ports to prevent loops, and how OSPF maps the network and provides fast convergence when routers fail. The questions cover explaining each of these protocols and their functions in Cisco networks.

Q No ) Implementation of OSPF ,Simple VLAN, VLAN Trunking
Protocols and Spanning tree in cisco 1) VLAN Trunking Protocol:- VLAN Trunking Protocol (VTP) – VTP is CISCO proprietary protocol used to maintain consistency throughout the network or user can say that synchronizing the VLAN information in same VTP domain. VTP allows you to add, delete and rename VLANs which is then propagated to other switches in the VTP domain. 2)
Simple VLAN:- The steps to set up a VLAN are as follows.
Configure the VLAN. All the switches that carry the VLAN must be configured for that VLAN Set up access control lists. ACLs, which regulate the access granted to each user connected to a network, also apply to VLANs Apply command-line interfaces Consider management packages. 3 ) Spanning tree:- One of the most common name of this mechanisms is STP(Spanning Tree Protocol). The selection process is done orderly. First Root Bridge is selected, secondly Root Ports on all the switches, then Designated Ports are selected, and lastly the remainning ports become Non-Designated Port, meaning Blocking Port. 4 ) OSPF:- OSPF is a routing protocol used in WAN or business networks. This routing protocol maps the entire network using the SPF algorithm and provides a fast convergence as a result of a failure on a Router on the network. Another route is assigned to the networks connected to the failed Router and the network is maintained.
