The lesson went well in terms of student participation in post-listening activities, but the audio was challenging for students to understand. While the conversation was only a minute long, hearing a young girl speak proved difficult. The teacher noticed students struggling during the initial listening activity and had to replay the audio. Supporting vocabulary was important for comprehension but the audio and challenging activities made understanding difficult. Ultimately, students were able to complete the final activity, though making progress was difficult.

The lesson went well from my perspective in terms that they were able to speak in the post listening section of the class. Nevertheless, it is my belief that the audio was a bit challenging for these students. Even though the conversation was 1 minute long, having to hear a little girl talking was the challenging part. I noticed that, the moment learners were not able to go with the Listening for the First Time (gist) activity, I had to play the audio again. From that moment on, I could see these learners´ reactions and I panicked. Key moments from the class are the supporting vocabulary that was key to understanding what was going on, however, the audio and the challenging activities made this so difficult. At the end, I saw how students go into the process and they coped with the last activity but it path to get there was rocky.
