THE PAST SIMPLE

1. Was or Were? Completá con el correspondiente.


Remember: Was-Were es el Verb to Be conjugado en el pasado.
We use Was for I-He-She-It and Were for They-We-You.
A. I very happy yesterday.
B. Celeste thirsty and she drunk two glasses of water.
C. Jonathan angry because he failed an exam.
D. The children sad because a toy was broken (roto).
E. I very tired because I ill.
F. In that photo she eight years old.
G. We late because we got up at nine o’clock.

REGULAR VERBS
2. Let’s practice verbs in the past form.
Agregá –D, -ED o –IED según corresponda.
Cuando un verbo termina
INFINITIVE FORM PAST SIMPLE con “E”, se le agrega -D.
Example: LIKE – LIKED
LISTEN LISTENED Cuando el verbo termina
en consonante u otra
PLAY vocal, se agrega –
ED.Example: WALK –
WALK WALKED
Cuando el verbo termina
STUDY en consonante + Y se
LIVE agrega - IEDExample:
STUDY - STUDIED
WATCH
WORK
TALKED
